I never owned the original scharnhorst, but never find it to be scarey to fight against. But this version is scary, kind of hard to believe how much a speed boost can do. Maybe they should add it to the Odin too.

The original Scharnhorst shown as a BB is a bit misleading, as it is more of a battlecruiser. Not suited to face bbs, but absolutely slaps cruisers. A good player in Scharni can hold the flank against several cruisers. My all time record in potential damage was in Scharnhorst, over 5 million. It's awesome result as T10, but at T7 it's insane.

No scharnhorst on the Russian server but we do get like 6-8 mega Santa crates. Also I've opened about 30 of them and gotten 10 ships ....so obviously about 30% success rate

Wg have pulled a bit of a sly one, the points required to go up each stage of this event goes up every 5 stages of the event unlike the battle pass that it resembles. Luckily Schn 43 is in the early part and they are giving you a good ship for a low play cost so well done WG for that part. Wishing you all a great Christmas.

I did the math, and it’s still perfectly achievable to complete with some margin. Also, the cost to skip stages doesn’t scale, so 15-20 would take a lot longer to complete, but still only cost 1000 doubloons each. I think it’s a solid battle pass.

The difference between the Sharn and Sharn 43 is about 20 % win rate for me. A few people in my clan also have a higherwin rate with the 43. The ship is just cracked,

The original Scharnhorst was always fun to play but nowadays with power creep when you get into T9 games you tend to suffer a lot, the 43 is the update it needed to keep it fun.

Shes great for Yolo missions her Tier, but higher Tier isn't her playground imoo. Pretty tanky😂and thx to engine boost,you can still escape some open flanks,or run down slower enemys. Original SH has better HE alpha,but if i had to choose,I would pick this one 😅

Can i ask what the difference from the original scharnhorst? I mean you lose reload,better penetration threshold and secondaries damage for a bit faster secondaries reload speed and speed boost? Someone made the calculations and the 2ndaries dpm of scharnhorst'43 are actually worst by 1% from the original.

So, I've been playing this ship without IFHE and taking Brisk instead. When I'm running speed flags in ranked games I get up to a little under 38 knots in the opening when I boost, and it can certainly get you to places where nobody expects. I find that I end up using the HE on the main guns a lot more than I was expecting when engaging targets that are 12km+ away if they aren't fully broadside too.

It is a very fun ship to play. Lots of people have it now... Played 6 brawl games today, all 6 had at least 1 scharn.. and in 4 of the games all the BB's were scharns haha 😅

You're right I do see a ton of them in ranked. But almost EVERY one I see is played POORLY. Way too many people are trying to snipe with this ship and refusing to engage and brawl. In fact I almost look at the presence of one of these on my team as a liability until I see whether or not the player is going to move up and engage.

This ship has made Bronze ranked quite a tiresome affair. Every game has at least 1 on each side. A game I played today had 3 on each side. If I want to play any sort of Battleship I have to wait for 5 minutes in the queue. But if I jump in as a DD or cruiser I get in straight away. I don't really mind, of course the hype will die down at some point. But it is a bit samey.

I picked up the '43 early, but the 10L of Battle Pass is easy. I played her for a while . . . until I started seeing two or three of them on each team, then I shelved her. I still break her out occasionally. p.s. .. 71d (22C) here in Eastern Washington today, I am already missing the snow!

The original Scharnhorst was a good ship to begin with - for a long time on everyone's "Best Premium Ship's" list. Had a 7-kill 200K plus Asymmetrical Game the other day - a lot of fun and a great score for me anyway.

In these first days after the Scharn '43 started appearing in people's ports they have been a plague in the game. I wouldn't mind so much except that almost everyone playing them has NO IDEA how to use them correctly. Sitting in the back, sailing across the map, not using HE and AP at the right ranges, and generally just not recognizing you need to favor brawling with it.

Seems the only difference between 43 and the normal Sharn is that Sharn gets the option of a spotter plane and has 1 km longer range on the main guns. Just playing one or two ops a day will get you the 43 pretty quick. Took me I think 4 days to get it. You can get 20 points a day which at the start is two levels and you need to get 10 lvls to get 43. Working on getting lvl 20 myself. Which means I may get the premium path just because I know at that point, I will get everything. Never buy the premium path unless you know you're going to get your value back out of it. Op Nauri is a good op for Scharnhorst with Lutgens as captain. If you have the CQ perk you will proc it pretty much the entire time as the enemies will always be in your secondary range about 85% of the time. Meaning you can activate both Lutgen's secondary reload boost and the one for the main gun by the end of the op.

I do not understand man. I was just playing with the normal Scharnhorst and It was a nightmate how many fires I was getting. About 10% of the He shells landed on my ship caused a fire. I am running fire prevention on the comander, equipment and even the flag. Is there any hidden stat about the ships having bigger chances to catch fire? each time I push is like 2 fires, Press R and soon I have other 2 fires on me.

I will still use IFHE due to the fact that your secondaries will do more penetration to the enemy ship when it hits (if that makes sense....) I know some secondaries have about 25mm of pen but if you buff it to where it can pen full damage then you can literally chase someone to their deaths. Ive done it on my Scharn and its hilarious to chase a ship one tier higher than you to their deaths...(Massa, Im looking at you). lutjens is my commander and Im running the Schlieffen build on it so its doing fine.

In T7 2v2 Brawls, I find the Renown 44 outperforms the 43' With IFHE and Improved AP equiped, the 43' is still sketchy and unpredictable. Accuracy (lack thereof) certainly doesn't help

Personally i don't use IFHE on it, the fire chance is insane (it's like 12%), and they still have reasonable pen for the tier. They litteraly farm fire ribbons.

Your mistake on that Amagi is you trying to avoid him instead of charge in in a sharp angle, keep the angle enough for the 2nd while also keep chasing him instead of avoid ! You also too greedy with the rear turret, you should have charge in, keep track on him and using the ship's front guns only. With that you'll have much more chance to keep shooting at him ! Also, you aim so much away ahead from his ship my friend ! A ship swimming strait away from you did not require that much lead !! You can kill him quickly with about 4k-5k damage with only front turrets and aiming strait at his superstructure !
