I've got this guitar in the charcoal burst and just love it. I had taken a guitar into GC and one of the folks there asked if I wanted to see their new guitar and of course I said sure. Tried it out and took it home. This is a really nice guitar. Great video.

I recently grabbed a charcoal burst from Sweetwater and love everything about it except the pickups. I've never heard more mid-range honk from a set of pickups. Brother, you get my respect for getting a halfway decent tone out of them. My example is definitely getting a pickup swap. I'm also adding locking tuners.

Just bought one!! Kick azz guitar, that green machine sounds awesome. Sounds just as good as my Ltd EC-400 vf! Getting used to it after playing it's been a blast. I recomend both!

Just played with it at guitar center. Really nice guitar all around, sounded more than good to me. I would definitely buy it if I wanted a guitar right now.

just needs locking tuners really.

@@MichaelD8393 that's why you get those a lil later on. The pickups sound nice so I don't mind keeping them in until I figure out what to stick in there later on.

I have the same one. It came out of the box not putting out any sound. I thought, "it can't be that complicated" so I pulled the cover off and the issue was a loose pot had spun a bit creating a short. I sorted that out and tightened it up and it was good to go. The frets on mine are quite good. The stock setup was adequate. The neck pickup was tilted slightly (high toward neck), but that was easily fixed by adjusting the foam pads behind it.

Hopefully they fixed the electronics issue it's had. Mine might be a byproduct of Covid affecting QC. Otherwise, be ready to replace pots & switches.

Super awesome video, I tried this one yesterday at Guitar center, definitely worth the money in my opinion at $799 compared 5 other guitars but this one has something it was that thing when you grab it and you know this is the one haha thanks man! hi from Utah new sub here! look forward to more videos from you! thanks!

The guitar is overall amazing. Got mine back a couple months ago, unfotionatly it had a faulty volume pot which had to be changed and now the pickup selector switch cuts the signal and is noise as heck, gotta swap that one as well. Putting the electronics aside the guitar itself is amazing.

They ship from Los Angeles, I believe. You would be better off buying a $12 CTS pot from your local luthier/guitar shop.@@michaelpereira5990

Yes your correct for some reason when I printed the specs off of schecters website it cut the 2 part off
@johndesrosier1672 Жыл бұрын
@SIX1NINEGUITARSANDGEAR It doesn't matter, the Apocalypse 2 and the Apocalypse V1 pickups are identical besides color. I contacted Schecter about this and they confirmed it's corrrect. Look at the backsides of the pickups and you'll see that they don't differentiate, they simply say "Apocalypse" B or N.

That's really weird that Schecter would let something leave the factory in that condition. I honestly have yet to play a Schecter that wasn't amazing and fully functional
