I have this guitar only in the Vintage Sunburst color. Great guitar, color wise, sound wise for my playing. It's used at our gigs. We play original music plus covers of,, Maiden, Metallica, Priest and lots of others. No complaints....Awesome video!!!

I love that slow rock/blues thing you did. I just picked one up in pink burst at a pawn shop for $250. Cleaned it, put on new strings, just a quarter turn on the truss rod, and BAM! what a great guitar!!!

I doubt it's a sticker. I think it's a veneer.

Great playing, you are obviously very skilled. I have the 2018 model of this guitar and it is quilted maple veneer over mahogany. Perhaps this changed? FYI, the pickups can be split by pulling up on the tone control knob. I picked mine up used at a Sam Ash in perfect condition with the bridge pickup replaced with an $80 Dimarzio Dominion pickup and a brand new $150 Road Runner hard case for only $200. @@pandaemonaeonaeon Just saw your question, so you probably already know that when you pull up the tone control knob it converts the humbuckers to a single pickup configuration which reduces the output of the pickup and changes its tone to a somewhat brighter sound.

I traded my 50’s classic vibe Squier strat for a used Omen Extreme. The strat played beautifully, but Metallica being the reason I got into guitar the single coil pick ups just couldn’t produce the sound I wanted. The Schecter is definitely more for metal/ harder rock, and is very versatile but noticed some fret buzz past the 12th fret so I took it to a shop to have it set up. The set up helped a bit but it’s slowly getting worse. I love the guitar overall, so hopefully a brand new shecter from sweet water won’t have that problem

I think you were playing this with the coils split. The tone knob is a push pull coil split.

I have that exact guitar. Its not the greatest guitar in the world but for the price you feel like you are getting a pro guitar as a beginner going from a cheap 100$ starter pack to this....btw I have that same chair. Arms folding back are a must for the guitar. Great review

it's crazy how even 600 dollar guitars are considered on a 'budget'. guitars are crazy expensive. and in Canada, just about every guitar is 200 more vs American. guess how much that one is in Canada? I guess I was a bit off for this model anyways. it's 700 in Canada....which it's insufferable how over priced the Canadian market is for literally everything. sigh. nothing is really a budget guitar in Canada because like I said, it's always 200 more in Canada, regardless of which guitar. which is peak insanity. why it makes more sense to save up here
