I got my Synyster Gates Custom for my 18th. My whole family chipped in for it. They are extremely versatile, you can play anything on them as long as it’s in drop D 😂

It's a cool looking guitar , but i was disappointed. I guess it's a personal preference , but it's got a weird rounded neck that i just couldn't get the feel i like in a neck. Plus the sustaniac isn't really worth it if you're a home player....

@@mikeg.9238 I beg to differ brotha. While it's all up to personal preference and opinion, and I'm not saying your wrong by any means. But I have the black and gold custom with the sustainiac and a 2010 white and gold with the seymour duncan invaders and they are both just simply amazing. The sustainiac helps with long drawn out divebombs as well as a long sustain when playing clean. I actually have trouble doing pinch harmonics and traditional dive bombs, so I rely on the sustainiac to help me out. At first, it did feel like cheating, but then I realized it's just another tool like a distortion pedal or a chorus pedal.

But i'm a huge Schecter fan anyway , i had the Demon 6 and now i have the Omen Extreme and it's a killer! The next one will be the Damian or the Reaper , so it's all good. To me Schecter and Ibanez makes the best quality sounding guitars for reasonable prices...

I had the custom S , it's a $1.400.00 guitar , it wasn't my style so i sold it. Definitely a cool looking guitar , but the FR 1000 trem sucks. Especially when you change strings , it's almost impossible to get it back in tune!

I have a late 2020 Synyster Gates Custom S Black and Gold, sustainiac pickup in the neck, and a syn custom pickup at the bridge, as well as a 2010 white and gold custom with the invaders. They are both amazing in theor own way. I almost change out the neck pickup for a sustainiac on the white and gold one but decided not too after I fell inlowv with it!

The sustain is amazing in one had one a few years ago. Add a sustainiac switch and some Seymour Duncan invader pick ups and it's basically the same guitar that synyster uses. Along side of being a bolt on neck which is fine with me. I don't care if uts bolt on or neck through really has no effect on me.

Dude i'm assuming your a young guy , do yourself a favor if you haven't already. Go back to the 80's and listen to the first 2 Metal Church albums and Savatage "Power of the night" and "Hall of the mountain king". You will not be disappointed , trust me! I was very lucky to see Metallica on the Kill em all tour , in a small club literally about 10 feet from the band , after that tour they blew up. That was back in 1983 , sick show with W.A.S.P. & Armored Saint opening....🤘✌

Hey guys, I tried tuning my MM JP-6 down to C# tuning. I am using D'addario 10-52 strings. I raised the bridge a bit and adjusted the strings but the High E when in tune at C# is just way too floppy. How in the hell did Tony Iomni keep his proper using 8's on his High E?

I gotta say i had the Synyster Gates Custom S and i wasn't feeling it like i thought i would , first off i hate FR trems and didn't like the way the neck rolls off on it. I ended up selling it and buying the Omen Extreme , and couldn't be happier. I love Schecter's but the Gates didn't do it for me....
