Schedule F (Profit or Loss From Farming)

How do you enter the purchase of diary cows on the depreciation schedule? I am asking because I don't know how to enter the sale of a portion of those cows. I know where it should end up on the return, but unlike a piece of equipment, you sell the entire piece of equipment, not just part of it, where only say 10 of the 20 cows you purchased you are selling. I normally enter the purchase of cows as "20 Purchased Cows". I hope I am making sense. Thank you

@FarmersGov So if you sold livestock in that tax year but purchased them in a prior year, does it still get filled out the same?
