The #nfl has just released the schedule for all 32 teams. We take a look at the matchups and give our thoughts on how the #raiders stack up against their 2024 opponents.
Jared Goff has just signed a massive extension with Lions; could that mean that a recently drafted signal caller could be available via trade? If so, should/would the raiders have interest?
We answer some of the questions addressed to us in the comment section.

I recall seeing more than that on tape. That may be just lost fumbles. I remember at least 5 or 6 with a few of them going out of bounds

See, this is why adults need to be in the room. You dont have longevity and success in this league if you’re a gambler and not an investor; the Raiders are living proof of this lol. I mean I get it, us fans are yearning for success but there are no short cuts. We still dont know what we truly have in the QB room yet so lets give it at least this season to see.

When you invest, it's important to diversify. You don't want to spend lots of your capital/assets on the same types of investments, especially when history has shown that investment has the lowest yield and is the most volatile. All of the draft is a gamble. You want to go with the best odds and iffensive linemen have historically safe. I think people think that I'm saying Bowers is a bum. He's a very good prospect, but his flaws limit what he can do for a team. There are a lot of variables that will go into whether he is successful or not. QB, scheme, playcalling, etc. I don't think TE was a position of need, and I'm not sure if what we have offensively will maximize what he does best.

At worst we'd be the Tolesco Raiders taking the best prospects at wr or te. No way we get no one in 20 years like we've had. We tried it the raider way, picking our players instead of the best players and that got us here, sorry AF until proven otherwise. Congratulations on naming 3 times we went for a name and it crapped out. The formula of taking the best player or best player on tape is still better than some scheme fit we've tried and failed at. There is no point of film study or break down if the film of such player looks good but nah he's just a bust. In the words of Big Boi: Severe, "Boi stoooooop"

When you go BPA, you also have to consider scheme fits and how you'd use that player. Aaron Curry was BPA, Charles Rogers was BPA, as was BMW, as was Rolando McClain, as was Robert Gallery, as was Jeff Okudah, I could go on and on. I watched every target, catch and carry by Bowers, and if you aren't prepared to utilize him properly, he's not gonna be an effective player. Georgia used him in a very specific way. They got the ball in his hands early and often in a variety of creative ways. If you're not doing that as part of your offense, he's not gonna be what people think he is. We had an opportunity to trade back twice and get great value on positions of need while also getting extra picks. Instead, we elected to go with the BPA at a position we didn't need, with a player we may not be able to use properly. In the words of Jack Nicholson, "you can't handle the truth." Lmao

Dude makes NOOOOOOO Sense!!! Kittle helps the outside wide receivers, because there's so much focus on a good TE, Kittles...lol😂 Whole picture...

@@thesevereraider defense have to account more for Kittle than they do for the average TE....so that opens up more for the receivers...so if Kittle's production goes down, he is still helping the wide outs... That part... Because the dude in the video highlighted that Kittle's production went down...
@thesevereraider

Kittle's production went down because Purdy doesn't force the ball to him. Part of the reason is because the 49ers have much better weapons on the outside than they did previously. They also have a legit weapon in McCaffrey.

@@thesevereraider Dude, if the defense has to worry about a great TE, that's less attention on WR's....so they have more chances to be open... point blank period. Ask the defensive coordinators... against the 49ers... because that's where I am forming most of my opinions. So to simply say his production went down, as if his play went down, is narrow minded. That's like saying Stephen Curry production went down when they had KD...as if Steph wasn't playing as well, just because of "numbers"...Curry helped KD have more open looks.

So, ALL THE DUMPING ON BOWERS, is nonsense...what you are saying about him can be said for anybody... nothing is guaranteed. The point is, he is versatile AF...and with Michael and Brock, it's hard to defend. No player is perfect. Dude, the job of a coach is to put players in positions to be successful...so players don't have to be perfect in a plain offense if the coaches are coaches. 😂... The point is versatility in players helps coaches scheme; that's the point of scheme and coaching and styles of offensive and making it difficult for defenses. So that's the value in Brock and it helps the QB...OUR QB needs help...

He's limited in the routes he can run and as a blocker. He's also undersized for his position, which will make it easier for NFL teams to matchup with him, especially early in his career. I think he's a very good prospect and if used properly will be a very good player. I don't know if we have the scheme or the QBs to use him properly. Kyle Pitts is as talented or more talented than Bowers and has struggled lately because of poor QB play. I don't expect him to be perfect, but he has glaring flaws that can be exploited at the next level.

@@thesevereraider If he's a WR (which he can be put in that spot from time to time) he's a nightmare because he's bigger and still athletic enough to be effective as such...put him at TE, he's faster than most traditional TEs, again a nightmare to cover... Put him in the back field as a RB, you don't know if he's blocking or coming out into a simple flat route, nightmare again. He's not just a TE, you are missing the whole point of his value 😂
@thesevereraider

if he's a WR, he's not a good enough route runner or strong enough at the catch point to take advantage of the matchups consistently. Athletic safeties and even some big CBs will have success defending him in the NFL unless the raiders scheme him open.

@@thesevereraider Brock will not have to have the whole route tree to perfection. He is a matchup problem for any CB, because of his skill sets and size...JUST NEED A MIX MATCH for a first down or Red Zone catch...size advantage. Brock vs LBs...speed and more athletic advantage...body positioning and yards after catch...point blank period... The versatility is his asset, not the title of TIGHT END...
