This song was composed by Fernando Lobo and Paulo Soledade and immortalized in the voice of Dalva de Oliveira, as a carnival marchinha in 1951. Edu Lobo, Fernando's son, redesigned the song years later with his version. The song is a posthumous tribute to Commander Edu, aviator, Soledade's companion in the Clube dos Cafajestes member, who died on board the Panair 099 aircraft on July 28, 1950.
