I’m in my 3rd year of nursing school and we’re in our mid-semester starting peds. I wasn’t looking forward to it because the thought of sick/hurt kids makes me sad. I’ve had two clinicals so far and I actually enjoy it. I still want to do L&D but who knows....

I was never a kind person. But I actually enjoyed my peds rotation over maternity.

Boy they are really nice nurses. I was hospitalized when I was very young for an extended stay in hospital and the nurses were uncaring, cold and just awful.

A nurse in australia works how many days a week? Is it popular to work three days a week ( 12 hours shift)? Thanks ❤
@simonemichelle53675 жыл бұрын
Thu Doan apparently it's 3 12 hour days, but you normally get called in to do more, or you can pick up as many shifts as you like :) some places are pretty flexible so you can probably negotiate hours :)
@teiganford50625 жыл бұрын
Where I work it’s 8 hour day shifts 0700-1530 and 1300-2130 and 10 hour nights 2100-0730. And you get to chose how many days a fortnight you work it’s normally between 6 and 10 days a fortnight. Most places in my city don’t really like nurses doing overtime as well so there’s no pressure to do more than 10 a fortnight

I am 19 and a Nursing Assistances at a Level 1 Trauma center. I’ve found, it’s never to late. I work with plenty of nurses who switched careers or were shadowing to see if they wanted to switch.

The children do have access to educational programs and opportunities to play, however, they are there first and foremost because they're ill and so that is the focus. If they were well enough to run around or be in a classroom environment, they probably wouldn't be in hospital.

@@jadefeline4949 Anything you wear on your arm is going to be filled with bacteria. You can't wash away bacteria from your watch like you would with your hands when caring for different patients. By not following basic hospital ward hygiene routines, like wearing a watch, you are spreading MRSA and god knows what to different patients.

MazDashCam FALSE. You need a watch for pulses, respiration’s, IV push medications need to be timed. They have wipes.
