Schindler 9300-11 and Hitachi Escalators at Sarinah Mall, Jakarta

Finally, the first escalator in Indonesia is preserved. But, before I talking about the escalators, I'm gonna told you about the building first.
Sarinah was build in 1962 and was inaugurated in 1966 by President Soekarno. This mall was built by war reparations from Japanese Government as a compensation for 3,5 years colonialism during March 1942 - August 1945.
When this mall has opened, there are the first escalator in Indonesia made by Hitachi. After 54 years operating, those escalators are replaced by Schindler along with the massive renovation of the building.
The escalator that preserved is the one that have many original components. Now, this escalator is still turned off and will be turn on at the special moments.
Note: I don't ride the old escalator because a fear that it shouldn't be used. I came on the second day of Sarinah's opening, so I don't really understand what to do and not to do. Moreover, no one use the old escalator either. Visitors only take pictures, but don't use it.
