Thank you for your interesting and eloquent description of Kenneally's Booker prize winner. The Folio edition looks beautifully bound. My copy however, is a little bit special. I purchased it from a Jewish bookshop in the heart of the Jewish quarter in Krakow, and the very kind lady who owned the shop put the shop stamp on the title page. I have also visited the Schindler factory in the city which is now an excellent museum. Last of all I visited the great man's grave in the Catholic cemetery on Mount Zion, Jerusalem earlier this year.

Thank you for commenting and sharing these anecdotes. Kennelly and others like him have done great work to bring the horrors of the Holocaust to life for those fortunate enough to not have experienced them first-hand. But I'm sure the physical and geographic connection you described really brings things home.

Very interesting video, I really want to read that book now. I bought the same edition of If this is a man recently. I also finished reading Night by Elie Wiesel yesterday, an intense story and the FS edition is very elegant.

Thanks for commenting. Yes, Night is a natural book for me to read next, especially since Wiesel and Levi were both interned at Monowitz. But I think I need to take a bit of a break first because reading so many of these books back-to-back is a little bit depressing. I hope you enjoy If This is a Man (if enjoy is the word) as much as I did.
