it looks to me like the neck hackle is much more tapered at the top vs the schlappen. my battle creek fly is lacking the fluff for the final piece due to having to use neck hackle. thanks for the info

Kelly, I know this sounds wussed out, but thank you for pronouncing the word schlappen correctly! Its frickin irritating as hell to watch a video about streamers or steelhead flies and have the tyers pronounce it Shlaypen or slappin. I know it ain't much but I've been rantin about it for a while now. BTW thanks for the materials video's they are as important as the tying videos! I think one of the best classes I ever did was when I went to my clubs class on materials and the guys spent 3 whole classes talking about different hairs and feathers and their individual properties and uses. I enjoy your videos and hope I get a chance to come up and piss off Bill Devane one more time.

1 is clearly pointed and 1 is rounded. I prefer the round look for traditional feather wing streamers.
