in the movie "paths of glory" this is the "french chateau" that is where the French command are supposed to be staying. 2:53 is the room where the court martial takes place in, and you can see many more parts of this place and how it looked back in 1957 when Kubrick chose that as the filming spot for the film. I was so disappointed watching the movie, the place is not taken care of. There are bits of plaster molding and rotting or falling off, you can see clear as day. In one shot near the stairs you can see the literal dirt piles around the columns from the lack of the floor being cleaned properly. The walls look dirty, the fancy plaster decor has chunks missing, etc. I was so distracted by the decay in the building that I missed some parts of the movie and had to go back. I am so glad it has been restored and then maintained so well, such an incredible video! You did very well with this video too, the music, the pace of the camera shots, the good views that you captured, from many different angles. Very well done!

Thank you very much! You may take the new Virtual Tour from the website of the Schleißheim Palace Complex (like descibed at my previous comment): www.schloesser-schleissheim.de/englisch/virtual/index.htm Choose the following virtual tour: Schleißheim New Palace www.360-bayern.de/panos/schlbay/obay/schl-sns/index.htm Click on the right down map menu (Etage Wahlen) and choose map for second level (Obergeschos/Upper Floor/). Then just click on the large hall (Großer Saal) in the map center. Now you may take a virtual tour of the Großer Saal. The images of the Großer Saal are a little dark, however the feeling of this Großer Saal Virtual Tour is also great!

4:16 what an incredible view of that huge painting! You can see that the artist either started painting on the top of the hill and had a view down into battle, making an effort to paint in the supply train for the army as well, or was just trying to guess what it would have looked like had he been there, but its a cool perspective for a painting either way. I really like the effort to show the battle lines and the people firing and everything too! There arent too many good examples of what a battle would have looked like back then, and I know Hollywood recreates, but the scale just isnt the same, a lot of these battles were tens of thousands against tens of thousands, and even this picture doesnt capture the scale, but it does show the never ending battle front that likely would have been there. How awesome!

Now you may take a virtual tour of the Victoriensaal and see these large paintings (also the painting 4:16) on the walls of the Victoriensaal. The feelings from this Virtual Tour is really great!

I would like to thank you for the effort of creating a collection of videos with very professional camera work and matching classical music which can best be described as mood music suitable for contemplation and relaxation.
