Great and educational video. I liked them using the stump of the boom to unload the counter weight. This is a nice size dragline and would have impressed me, greatly, when I was a kid, who loved this type of stuff. Still do. I had no idea, back then, that there were draglines up to 20 times bigger than this one. If I had seen one that big, up close, it would have blown my little mind.

Fascinating Vid...! Thanks for posting.... Hope all those wet stones are worth some $$$... All that equipment, labor, total cost-per-hour, ETC, is not cheap....! Interesting how you learn a lot just observing....! Again, thanks for posting this....! Gordon in Maryland

What's the capacity of this bucket?

Its a Hendrix 5TS with a capacity of 4m3. :-)

Schlorg Liebherr HS 883 also has 4m3 bucket capacity or is it slightly bigger?

The HS882 and the HS883 are using much bigger buckets. The HS882 No.1 and No.2 use Hendrix 7 and 7 1/2 cuyd. Buckets with ~5.5 / 6m³ and the HS883 is using a Hendrix 9TS bucket with 7m³. :-) The HS853 weights "only" around 90tons, the HS882 and 883 are weighting more than 120tons.
