Weight Stations = AN UTTER WAIST OF A TRUCK DRIVERS TIME! Good grief, what did it take you, 3-5 minutes to "roll" through that weight station?

I think it is closer to 5 minutes.My truck is provided with a pre pass device. There I have go 1 to 3 times per shift through the weigh Station, and even then, mostly it goes fast through. Some of my work mates, which does not have this, they waste much more than an hour EVERY day for the scale houses.

+RottyFan1 I am a retired German trucker. We don't have such permanent weight stations in Germany. I wished we have this too but the police has transportable weight stations and pull you over. If they catch a gruck with a too heavy load (88000 lbs totally are allowed in Germany ), then they check this truck from bumper to bumper and it takes sometimes hours. Germany is a country with very hard safety rules. If important parts are damaged the police stop the truck and a tow truck brings it to the next truck repair. Mostly East European trucks have problems ( brakes, tires etc ) or the trucks have driven too fast ( speed limit for trucks 50 Mph ) or the driver has driven too many hours ( 9 hours per day, then 11 hours pause ). But it is a little more complicated.

Shane McCorkle We know for sure it's not a large Kar. I can't drive without my bird on the hood. She guided my 379 for a million paid accident free miles. But the main thing about chicken houses is a slow speed and never look at the house and eyes straight ahead.
