I really don't know if I can agree with this claim. The vioce actor for Candyman recently passed away, and it would really diminish the value of Candyman if they would make him completely silent. While it is entirely possible that Candyman being blacklisted is BS, there really isn't a way to know for sure.

Another reason why I see the rumor is fake because of the candyman one when mentioned it’s blacklisted for slavery, the knights lore had him saving the faithful three from slavery so that makes no sense as to why candyman is blacklisted. The Wallrider would be kind of OP as a killer, wouldn't it? It's pretty much a swarm of nanites that, as shown if the Wallrider catches you in Outlast's finale, can literally enter your body and rip you apart from the inside out. Then again, the more powerful current killers have their power capped by the Entity so that they play along instead of just killing the survivors straight away, so maybe it could work?

I don't like the idea of the force being a power so I kind of hope he can be an oni skin instead as they are very similar in terms of a slasher type horror

I am a Star Wars fan. I do not want Vader in DBD. I love Vader, he is a great character and they could do tons with him. But, they have to nerf him to make him work in DBD. He would likely need the symbol on Vecna because Vader literally could kill the survivors without any real difficulty. Honestly, I don't think any Sith character works as a killer. Grievious makes more sense to me or even Gideon from the Mandalorian. Vader literally fought and overpowered beings that were literally the embodiment of the Force itself. He arguably could kill (certainly at the very least challenge) the Entity. Death Troopers could be interesting, but you are mistaken over the story. The story isn't an apocalypse. It is a prison transport where an ancient Sith plague was released. It has a prequel during the Old Republic called Red Harvest. The Plague animates the dead, so essentially Zombies in Star Wars (which while the plague here isn't canon anymore, however there are two canon versions of zombies in Star Wars. Both of which 1st appear in The Clone Wars CGI series) It is something that is extremely interesting. Honestly, if you like Star Wars and horror, I recommend reading both Death Troopers and Red Harvest. I love Star Wars, I love DBD ... I just don't see them working together in anyway that is satisfactory to me. Jurassic is a series I want to see, but I am kind of disappointed if it Jurassic World and not Park, the novels had some horror adjacent elements in them that I feel could be fun to do.

@@asgorne It could technically work with Legends Vader. Vader's saber was dual phase in Legends, so rather than trade out, you have a phase change in the saber becoming larger for the club. It could work, but not sure how much I would like it.

Are you familiar with Castlevania? Dracula should be STRONGER than the entity, Trevor Belmont can Kill 90% of the killers by himself, and yet he is a survivor. Soma has the same powers as Dracula and Alucard is his son. I very much love to have Castlevania in DBD but the disrespect is tremendous haha So just accept that for balancing purposes they have to be like that, and "lore wise" the explanation could be that the entity is just absurdly strong and can basically bend those absurdly strong characters to behave as it wants.

The supposed confirmation is that he predicted Freddy would be able to teleport to finished gens (which was extremely obvious) and that deep wound rework was survivor sided (it really wasn’t) along with the prediction of a RE 2v8, which hasn’t been announced or confirmed in any way or with solid evidence. I get that he's not a horror character. But dbd isn't really a horror game. Darthvader (when the cinematography is right) is an extremely intimidating and menacing slasher. Darth vader is the opposite to a jumpscare, as in he just slowly slow walks his way through a corridor murdering everybody in his way. He is essentially just a sci-fi licenced version of the oni. And imo oni is a really interesting killer that fits in to dbd. "Oni is a Japanese monster", they can turn darthvader into an infected. His power won't really fit in the game in terms of balancing so maybe he should just be an oni skin

If Hasbro is further interested in collaborating with DBD then they are willing to either add more DND styled content or they could go further. Knowing Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, their next step would be to do a MTG (Magic the gathering) cross over giving DBD its horror contents like Eldrazi and Phyrexians, and then collaborating with Behavior to make a Secret Lair Drop turning DBD’s original killers into Magic cards. I’m not sure how willingly behavior would want to do it, but knowing the other side very well they would be well liking to do so being Magic has slowly been becoming a IP game meshed with its own likeness. (Similar to DBD at this rate.)

Well, people start fighting a bit when some think a chapter doesn't really "belong" in the game, like Lara Croft, for instance (I think she's fine, though!). Apparently, Cote actually said this upcoming chapter will cause that a bit, but I think BHVR generally tries to stay away from anything that just strays TOO far from horror. Star Wars doesn't really work with DbD's idea, though a Vader killer WOULD be cool.

It'll probably just be a deathslinger mechanic. Or maybe he insta downs with his saber with a deathslinger like ability. That way you can nerf his walkspeed so we always have a menacing slow walking vader. His ability doesn't really match so im more hoping it can be an oni skin (personality match) or deathslinger skin (since they're making power redesign cosmetics)

Regarding the Fnaf speculation and rumor Scott Cawthon did say on a podcast with Dawko after the DBD reveal news that he'll be working closely with Behavior on the project because FNAF is still his franchise, its still his creations, his baby so its not a rumor but fact that Scott will be working closely on that project with Behavior so its not rumor but a straight fact since he doesn't want it going off from fnaf themed and it not being the way he would like it to be. Tokyo Ghoul no one has really heard much on but if Kaneki is supposed to be a killer then the skin for store will probably be either Risè Camishiro, Nashiro or Kurona from Tokyo Ghoul, my honest hope on if they aren't rumors is for leakers to stop ruining it because things keep getting delayed with killers, survivors and other things like maps because of them ruining things with telling people these sorts of things.

Golden Freddy, the Marionette, and Freddles (Nightmare Freddy's little Freddys), were all originally fan given names, but got so popular that Scott decided to make them canon. So it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility that Scott would make William's axe canon, knowing how collectively popular of an interpretation it is.

A chapter based on Star Wars, my top picks for that chapter's killer are Abeloth, a Mnggal-Mnggal Husk/Zombie (my favorite of the 3 because of it's potential mechanics), or a Black Wing Zombie Commander (Black Wing is the name of the virus in Star Wars: Death Troopers). Potential Powers- Abeloth: I really don't know what to do for her Mnggal-Mnggal Husk: You can use create Mnggal-Mnggal Bats (slow down/debuff), Puddles (traps), or Worms (Gen Regression). As the trial goes on "your" body decays until it's unusable, requiring you to kill/mori Survivors so you can enter and use their bodies. That survivor will not be registered dead until one of the survivors figure out who you are. At the start of the game you appear as a random survivor that you took over before the trial. Black Wing Zombie Commander: The trial starts with 2-3 other zombies in play, these zombies will pick up and use items on the survivors after a certain amount of time passes, when a survivor is morried they will turn into a zombie. The story behind Mnggal-Mnggal's power is based on it's lore, it's true form being a viscous grey sludge capable of forming into bat-like creatures and worms, it looks for hosts so it can exert it's will more effectively, it's sludge eats away at a victim's insides so Mnggal- Mnggal can have full reign over the body, this corpse decays after a week of use, these corpses still apear human, allowing it to blend into society. The story behind the Black Wing Commander's power is in the lore as novel in the novel the Black Wing Zombies are very intelligent, using surprise to their advantage, using psychological warfare + enjoying it, learning to use blasters, and even pilot ships.

Belive it or not, Darth Vader can also be extremly Scary. Yes he looks most of the Time like a classic Villain that you take serious but youre not Scared of him. But in Star Wars Episode 3, Rogue One and Episode 5 Empire Strikes Back, Vader was actually pretty scary. He is from all Star Wars Characters the Best Fit for the Game with only Darth Sidious fitting even better. Then the Fact that we get Maybe another Resident evil Dlc is great because i did wish for a long time that we get a New Resident Evil Dlc and some new Cosmetics. Jack as a Killer, Ethan as a Survivor and a RE8 Chris, Lady Dimitrescu and the Baby as Skins for Leon, Nemesis and Dredge would be funny and cool

The sad thing is, Alien having mixed ratings likely decreases the chance of a Predator chapter. :( I think Xeno was widely accepted in the PTB; it's just the chapter's cost that causes it to have a mid-rating. But to be fair to BHVR, the price of the DLC is likely high due to Disney giving the license a high cost.

So, to summarize: -Tokyo Ghoul as the March chapter: Big win though concerns do rise from the fact that we're getting a lot of ranged gameplay style killers. -FNAF future chapter confirmed: Happy and wondering if it's going to be this year for the anniversary reveal or the 4th quarter (December timeframe). -Jurassic World will be 2025 3rd quarter chapter with an Indoraptor: Pretty awesome we get another beast killer, but stealth killers have been notorious for being subpar except Chucky recently, so we'll see. -Cry of Fear leaks weren't true: Many of us didn't believe it as well. -Candyman is blacklisted: Many of us thinks that's just bullshit, Candyman is one of the OGs in Slashers. It's just a similar situation with Jason, Michael, Pinhead and Freddy....the IP holders have very strict conditions on how those characters are handled which means not much profit. -Bummer a chapter was canned that was in the works for several years but if there is no interest in that killer/survivor then it'll fail. -Stranger Things I understand because they did it before when they pulled those products from DBD but solo chapters....no. If the solo chapter makes sense and there is some hype to it, like an awesome licensed killer or a big boob goth survivor then yeah. Though, if the solo survivor is connected to an IP and ISN'T an original character then I can believe it. -HASBRO is huge because alot of licenses go through them. -Riot isn't concerned in the horror market so doubtful they would talk to BHVR. -April Solo Survivor (read my Stranger Things comment). -Capcom wants a third Resident Evil Chapter, not surprised in the slightest. Plus, Wesker and Nemesis were hits for DBD.....along with the multiple survivors that came with it. -Death Note cosmetic collab: Definitely believe it especially after Junji Ito collab because those skins were AMAZING. -Stephen King is Stephen King -Beetlejuice is locked behind alot of legal bs so yeah....I can see why they weren't able to get it. -Lara Croft/Alan Waker: Big bummer since they are both played ALOT. -Terrifier: Surprising but welcome. -Gojo/Jujustu Kaisen: Hard to believe they want Gojo to be a survivor 😂, they are asking to piss off a community. -Fromsoft: Fully believe that because Riot and Fromsoft have got their own priorities to worry about. -Jason/Friday 13th: We'll be in 2030's by the time legalwork for that will come through XD. -Valve collab falling through: Valve doesn't work with a company that doesn't give away skins, so it was bound to fall apart like water and oil. -Unknown Blight cosmetic: That's going to be gnarly looking -Disney/Star Wars: No f-ing way they'll add Vader to DBD. Vader when Palpatine took his saber and sent him on a hunt to find and kill a Jedi in order to get a new saber that he could bleed the liner crystal of would be the best time to, in universe, bring him into the game. I don’t want DBD to bring in the lightsaber if it’s not gonna insta chop Ace in half. And if he does come in, they need to go all in on his force abilities being oppressive as hell. He should have a force aura that prevents pallets from being dropped once he has a rage meter full or something.

C'mon, we just got a sweater cosmetic for Alan. Lara not getting a sweater is not really a good look, but I still think Lara Croft owners are have a good relationship with BHVR, mainly because of a full rift being tied to Lara.
