The brutal American slavery system was no lie. The fact that millions of African Americans are descendants of West African tribes such as the Wolofs, Fulani, Yarubas and Mandingos is no lie.

As brutal as The Transatlantic and American was, it pales in comparison to the TransSaharan Arab one which would be far more severe, castrations were a thing so that there wouldn't be any descendants, how many bloodlines were wiped out because of the Transaharan which has been going for far longer than the TransAtlantic one by more than a millenia

That is a lot of history to sit through, but historians do it. I had two family members write the history of my paternal grandmother and her family. I am sure it took a long time to compile it as my grandmother had a large family. And we still all talk on Facebook and see photos of each other.

What you're looking at is the very last scene, but in reality it continued when Tom Harvey & his Family settled in Hennings, TN. As a little boy, Alex remembered his Grandmother Cynthia, His Great Aunt Liz, and a distant Cousin Georgia telling the Family Stories most notably "The Old African who went into the woods to make a drum, got cotched by the Slave Drivers, and bought to Annapolis, MD."

Brings to mind all the lies told to the Native American's. All I can say is, "The love of money is the root of all evil." If we want to blame someone for all the lies let's start with The Father of Lies! " Way to go Lucifer! I am just waiting for this system of things to end, then we can all live like we were supposed to. As one big happy family regardless of skin color! We all bleed red and were created equal.

forget all of the past stuff. the real question is, where is my 40 acres and mule? Black men don't want special treatment; black men want fairness. Everyone wants to tell the black American man to forget about the past and move on but they never want to settle issues of the past that were promised. Maybe that is why black men have not moved on. I guess as long as we are never indemnified, the dwelling continues...

......you dont have a clue what you're talking about. I feel bad for you actually. I'm not claiming to know who Haley's ancestors were. I just know that he paid the fee for plagiarizing from the work of *believe it or not* a white author! And he settled the lawsuit by paying. Even Henry Luis Gates, Haley's best friend, says there is no way Haley knew which village his ancestor came from. This is a wonderful work of fiction though, no doubt about that.
