Austin does have a degree in musical theater, in case you didn’t know! Love Adam’s castanet sound! This was done during quarantine time, that’s why all the backgrounds are different. Then the great editing of Jimmy Bates put it all together! So much fun!

Thank you, HF is my favorite group, I feel the same way! Tim is standing in a boat 🤗. The 3 singing Rupp siblings had me a sobbing mess during all 5 shows I have seen them, (separately and together)! Phenomenal! HF Brother🤗 and When Will I Be Loved with their fur babies are must watch! 😻

The HF guys showing their creativity once again: the TikTok format to manage their separation during quarantine ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ Tim staying so still to keep from falling out of the boat he's standing in--it makes me laugh because every time I see him in this I think of the animated pirate dolls in Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean. 😆 And those castanets!! Adam Rupp's percussion and sound effects are second to none!! 🥰

Miss Schnell, I hope you & the hubby & baby are doing well !!! As for Home Free those harmonies are unmatched.This video was all on Chance. He is a Sea Shanty fan, and pushed hard for this....the medly is his baby & Home Free has their most popular video for several years with nearly 12 million views.I also loved the whimsy on their outfits, especially Tim....dressed up as Captain Jack from Pirates of the Caribbean !!! You have so much Home Free to catch up on. May I suggest one they did about two months ago - From Here to the Moon & Back...a collab with a young up & coming country star, Maggie Baugh. It's a cover of a Dolly Parton song that is so beautiful, and the video is so awesome - have a tissue nearby !!!

Forgetting you are doing a reaction is a really good sign of how good it is!! As for your question if they come up with the ideas for the videos or if it's someone else the answer is both. Sometimes the idea comes from one or more of the guys themselves, sometimes it's Jimmy, the video producer they most use, or whoever else is producing is, and sometimes it's a friend or one of their team that has the first idea that they then work with. Everything about Home Free is pretty much a group/team effort. Lovely reaction as always, Schnell!

Hi Schnell Fellow Home Fry, Home Free is the "BOMB!!!" With no disrespect to all of the other wonderful "A Capella" groups out there, but IMHO Home Free is the most versatile Vocal Band on the planet!!! Mic Drop!!! 🎤

How good are these guys? The fun & energy in this is infectious. This was done during quarantine so none of the guys were even together. The editing of this was great & was done in the Tik Tok style. Love all the guys parts, with Tim's rumbling bass underlying it all. And Adam's beatboxing is phenomenal as always including sea swells & castanets. Amazing how he increased the tempo from one song to another.

To be honest home Free is the only acapella group that I really care about. I know Pentatonix is the most popular but I can take them or leave them. Voiceplay does some stuff that I enjoy from time to time. And while I'm not necessarily saying he's the best or my favorite in the group, I think Adam Chance might have my favorite vocal tone, at least sometimes.
@adelucas48242 жыл бұрын
Pentatonix was great early days but they have got quite soulless since Avi left. Technically perfect as always, I just hate their original songs and think they don't have any spark. When they were doing covers of other artists they added their own flair and take, but I just don't think they are particularly good songwriters.

@bonwick2 жыл бұрын
Just the opposite for me -- PTX gets to me, while HF and Voctave and VoicePlay usually don't. They're all incredibly talented. I'm glad the a cappella genre has enough diversity now that more and more people can find a group that speaks to them.
@adelucas48242 жыл бұрын
@@bonwick Oh yes, it would be a horrible world if we all only liked one thing. All the acapella groups are insanely talented. Home Free is amazing but a lot of their stuff is too southern American for me. Yet some of their stuff is just incredible. No disrespect to the guys, but the appeal for some of their song choices doesn't travel outside the country music/good old boy/southern baptist demographic, but we would be poorer without it.
@lindanearing47102 жыл бұрын
What a wonderfully crafted song. Tim's beautiful bass underpinning the song was beautiful. The solos by each of them couldn't have been better and the harmonies were stellar. Adam's beat boxing/vocal percussion was creative and electrifying. I loved how he increased the tempo with each transition. The wave sounds and castanets: awesome.
@babyfry47752 жыл бұрын
One of my favorites. This was Chance’s baby (he’s the first singer). He loves sea shanties and brought the idea to the boys…at first they were like I don’t know but it’s turned into a big hit for them. This was during Covid so they weren’t even together. Tim wasn’t moving much as he was standing in a boat and was afraid he’d fall over. Tim and Austin went full pirate mode. Hahahaha. It’s so well done. Good reaction Schnell. Glad you’re back.😃

At least for this specific video, Yes, it was The collection of ideas to pull together and come up with This video, because for the time they were creating this video All the guys were in Complete Lockdown during the worst parts of the C-virus spreading that hindered everyone getting together at all. So they recorded their own separate Tick tock video parts then I;m not sure who collected all the parts to take them to mash up together and edit the parts together to create This Specific video. Also, If you search for an equally inspiring acapella singer, search for Peter Hollins featuring Tim Foust and the song Misty Mountain. Tim really hits the chills up your spine--hairs standing up on your neck and arms--Low low notes.
@susanhorn43252 жыл бұрын
Home Free has an amazing video editor, Jimmy Bates. He did all of their lockdown videos. He may have pitched the ideas for the videos or they came up with the ideas collaboratively during their zoom calls…some of both I’m sure. Jimmy worked with each of the guys individually to guide their video recording so he could get footage he wanted…they filmed some scenes multiple times so they could get it just right. They did lots of retakes for Meet In The Middle with those complicated transitions and then Jimmy produced the finished masterpiece.

Adam Rupp does the arraignments and video ideas
@susanhorn43252 жыл бұрын
Adam has only done one arrangement to my knowledge…Do You Hear What I Hear. He comes up with all the vocal percussion for each song…I guess you could consider that arranging. Darren Rust, their producer, does the majority of their arrangements…I know Austin arranged Moonshine and May have done others. Tim may have done some arrangements but I’m not sure. Earlier in the band’s history (pre-2016) Chris Rupp did some (and perhaps a lot of) arranging for the group. As far as video ideas sometimes I believe the videographers they hire present the ideas. Adam may come up with a lot of the ideas…he’s pretty creative. Chance came up with the concept for at least one(I Can’t Outrun You). During quarantine I think their video editor Jimmy Bates came up with a lot of the ideas. (Jimmy has done music videos for Pentatonix, Peter Hollens, and Lindsey Sterling among many others)
