What normal person would have figured this out?? It worked with the exception that no recovery menu appeared. The clock appeared and the phone was working. Thanks, gracias, merci.....

the owners manual that comes with it is pretty much vague and useless. thanks for this. also, the sim card is the newer type between sizes that I do not have!! when I researched all I got was a ROM site that wouldn't let me download anything without being a subscribed member. Schok doesn't even have a WEB SITE??? THAT'S strange.

I started the phone this morning and things were looking normal. Then after a few minutes the phone went ded and I have tried pressing the button a number of times. I tried pressing the buttons as you have advised with no results. The phone shows no sign of turning on again. The phone was full charged. I tried attaching the phone to a charger and the charger acts like it is charging the phone. But the phone does not show any sign of turning on despite pressing and holding the buttons in different ways. This manual says that the battery cannot be removed which was another idea to study. Right now the only idea that comes to mind is to keep requesting assistance and continue charging the phone. Thank you
