With and and Beckham crossing possibilities are endless

He was a great header of the ball. Actually when I just started watching football for a while I was sure he was a striker😅 Great runs in the box and great finishing in any kind of situation, including the headers.
He was a great header of the ball, nothing strange in his technique.

strange seeing a playmaker with this amount of headed goals collection 😂

He was better as NO.10 than NO.8 type player

Yes I've been saying this for a while now. All you ever really hear about is the deep lying playmaker Scholes, when he was past his best at 30+. He was pretty much a cross between Bergkamp and Iniesta for much of his career.
@pakapolosatis4695Ай бұрын
@@a_guinness I think his advanced role looked more like Lampard than either Bergkamp or Iniesta. He doesn't utilize similiar first touch / dribbling as the two mentioned, but he's very prolific as a box-crasher/goalscorer type.

@@pakapolosatis4695 This is a good video: 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGGshGajZc2pf5Y Includes a lot of his earlier plays. The comparison makes more sense after watching this right? He was actually a more complete player than both Bergkamp and Iniesta, with a better passing range and work-rate. The technique on display here is extremely high ( Zidane level ). I'm sorry but to compare him to Lampard is insulting. Lampard wasn't seeing things several steps ahead of everyone else on the pitch the way Scholes was. Nor was he as resourceful of a player.

@@a_guinness the vid you share is good, but doesn't really add to the discussion as it shows his plays in the middle of the park, mostly long range passing and long shots. which are plays not necessarily associated with a 10 im sorry but bergkamp/iniesta comparison is just very weird. scholes is an amazing player, but he just doesn't play like the players mentioned. this is a stylistic comment, not about his abilities

@@pakapolosatis4695 Stylistically he had a lot more in common with Bergkamp/Iniesta than he did with Lampard. There aren't many good vids out there showing Scholesy's earlier plays, mainly short passing and dribbles. Click on my channel. Watch my Scholes comp. It's not very long, but I aim to make a longer one in the not too distant future, so stay tuned ;)

25 goals scored with his head throught this whole video and if this is all the goals he scored with his head, it's equivalent to 16% of his total goals for Man Utd

For those who haven't seen him during his career, I would also mention he was very strong. I never even thought about him being a "small" player because he was very strong on his feet and tough in the challenges, was never really bullied on the pitch. He actually bullied others more often.

Beckham's cross is another level. Beat the whole defensive system and put chances on the plate.

Its not only about the height , most importantly timing and positioning

A better header of the ball than Slippy G. More non-penalty goals than Slippy G. More open play assists than Slippy G. Why do people compare them?
@AmeerS406923 күн бұрын
He played in arguably the best team in the time while Gerrard played for a second class Liverpool.
@jhonma512223 күн бұрын
@AmeerS4069 When we say Keane was good, you say he played in a good team. When we say Neville was good, same excuse. Gerrard had tores, mascherano,xavi, babel, abeloa, Carras, hypier, your racist striker.... Gerrard was shit.

I don’t understand did you call them “strange” (header skills). P.s.: in the last clip the goalie almost beheaded him after he scored ahahah.

Should've included his diving header for England: 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIjCgGmjm9xmbpI Otherwise great vid!
