I used to subscribe to the idea of paper books being "real" books also. I'm now too disabled to read physical books without a book stand, which doesn't work in many places. I often read from an iPad now; I also use it to speak, access email and the internet, email, etc. I have a ton of books on it, because there are many ebook sales. I can access the elibrary from it too, and that is awesome. I still love the feel, smell, look, and everything about physical books more than ebooks, except the weight. I love getting physical books from the library (they deliver to my house once a month). If it's a book I want to read, it doesn't matter what format it is, unless I'm in a situation where I'm unable to support the weight of a book.

My daughter, who lives in Tuscany, has started a book resource that promotes equality, compassion and civil (human) rights. Written in several different languages, and an attempt to include stories about children with all sorts of parents and unique experiences. When you said we are all pretty much alike in what we require for a happy and productive life, I thought of her. It may not be in your brief to open minds in ways that may stress Catholic minds, because teaching a new language and giving access to the ideas in books is a genius idea in itself; as a mother I always felt a grand sense of accomplishment when my children became fluent readers. I knew there was lots more that I wanted to share, but that reading opens the door to all human knowledge. Your plans are beautiful, and I hope you have a rich and rewarding journey of experiences.

If u do classic anything prior to 1923 is in public domain, if u get a digital copy and a really good printer u can print classics for ppl as you travel without housing every book on the shelf, if you had a school wanting more or a group wanting 5 you can print. Especially great for early learning primer books which are small but will be your helpful tool in language lessons

I think you should switch your bed to where you are putting the bathroom. Wonderful idea. I thought of doing something similiar. Book mobile. For the skeptics:We have book mobiles in Canada. Think about the many uses for these . Remember not everyone learn the same way.

SHARLIEM1010 - Why the fear? And what precisely is your fear? At the very beginning of the tour, they stated their goal is to ship the skoolie to Patagonia where they will house 4 to 5 students for immersive Spanish courses. The goal is to teach the students sufficient Spanish so the students can travel on their own and so they can get to know people who speak Spanish. They also want to provide a library service to remote areas as a way to meet and understand other people ("bridge the Americas").

My first impression within about 30 seconds of the video starting was it reminded me of one of my happy places when I was a kid, which was a mobile library. Hearing you say that was actually the goal of the vehicle gave me a warm & fuzzy feeling. I had plenty of access to several libraries as a kid, but I always got excited every time the mobile library rolled up in my area. Super cool that you two are doing this.

Love the bus and your intentions. But why does the cook stove sit lower than the cabinets? And an idea for a little more space. The little shelf in the dead space in the kitchen, bring it out further so you can have more storage space. And where the books are, put some drop down doors on the lover ones for more reading space or work space or whatever And don’t pay attention to these weird negative people who leave stupid comments.
