I had training courses as an EMT on how to help evacuate school buses. I always wanted to open the roof escape hatch to see what would happen. When the back door was opened, a muted long buzzer that sounded like a 1930's cartoon doorbell went off.

This one time I fell asleep on the bus and happened to be sitting in one of the emergency exit seats and apparently accidentally pulled the lever slightly and got woken up by the noise and wondering why everyone was wondering where it was coming from I just pushed the lever back and it stopped lol 😆 🙃

Because they most likely did it’s the Child Checkmate system they use to have that kid voice until recently when they switch to a male voice but it makes sense since the system name is Child Checkmate

I remember one time I was sitting next to someone on the back seats and suddenly the alarms when off. Problem is, me and the person I was sitting next to where too busy looking at a Pokemon player guide book and nobody else was in the seats next to us, we got yelled at by the driver and kicked off the bus for a week even AFTER THE CAMERA ON THE BUS PROVED US INNOCENT. turns out the bus driver didn't lock the door properly after the last drill and a big bump on the load loosened it enough to trigger the alarm.

Oh god, I was on the bus going home not very long ago, and we had to shove two separate routes on one bus because my route had no bus driver. I was in the rear, and some fool managed to open the rear emergency door while we were still idling in the bus loop, waiting for more people to board.
