Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who actually likes this anime because the creators actually did an amazing job on making us feel how they wanted us to feel about most of the characters. The anime itself isn't bad at all, and the characters are good in a sense that we're supposed to hate ones like Makoto and Sekai and we do, and we're supposed to route for characters like Kotonoha and we do. I respect and like School Days for that tbh.

School days VA is all very close. Especially kotonoha and sekai VAs were radio school days personalities in 2007. There were a total of 39 radio broadcasts. Each time they read letters received from the audience. I always enjoyed it and was very happy to listen to it. There was a funny episode when sekai VA was sitting on a chair eating popcorn and dropped a lot of it down and makoto VA picked it up with a smile . He is very kind and gentle and the girls look up to him. Of course, as a VA. Recently he played "enmu" of demon slayer. For the past year, sekai has been active on youtube. sekai, kotonoha, setsuna, and otome, the four heroines of school days in 2022, appeared at the event. Well, you're right about the fact that no one is really frustrated about that. In fact people are/were following a mass psychology, being hysteric over how trash the anime supposedly is because hurr durr i hate you makoto durr which ended up with consequences like it having a low score on my animelist and being underrated overrall when in fact, it should be treated as a classic, as an awesome anime for being able to do exactly what it wants to do with almost perfection. Was it not because this inside joke about school days being shit, it would probably be considered one of the vanguards of anime desconstruction among with evangelion and madoka.
