@@RookieMistakeYT as a former battle rapper myself music is way more rewarding and all the political behind the scenes stuff that comes with battle rap is very exhausting and you gotta spend all your time writing and rehearsing and kinda put your music to the side and then sometimes heads no show and you spent a month preparing for nothing. And when it comes to your music career you don't gotta worry about a league owner, other battle rappers, getting a good match up etc. and your music career is up to you and nobody else cuz you're the main focus and the work you put in is dependent on you and not when your next battle is gonna be. Also making music is more fulfilling personally cuz it's art and your songs last forever and your battles are more in the moment and once you're done people watch it and it gets forgotten about until your next one. Also you get to a point where you don't feel like you gotta prove to anybody that you're a dope rapper. Making music is just a more legit art and expression of yourself and your individual thoughts and feelings and that release just feels so much better and it's not about winning or losing its about making a great song so for me and I totally understand why he doesn't want to pursue battle rap like that cuz you really gotta have a love for battling to wanna deal with all the bullshit that comes with it
