My daughter is in 4th grade this year as well & I always told her that it doesn't matter what she takes as long as she eats it. She's taught to stand up for herself but others as well when they need help. Great lunch ideas as always. Thanks for sharing with us!

Love the video. I actually bought those waters for my kiddos. My daughter loves it but my son wasn’t a fan. I bought one sparkling by accident so that could be why. I also tried the towel in the dish washer trick. My dishes were so dry. It was amazing.

I remember packing lunches for all four boys that were almost all in the same grades at the same time like had 2 in 8th grade one in 7th and than one in fourth. Seems like yesterday believe me goes by fast b4 you know it they are graduating high school together! I think I spent a million dollars on Gatorade the clear ones and Capri sun's way back when. Sometime peanut butter and jelly is your best friends. My kids hated school lunch always had to pack them everyday. A big hit in here was peanut butter, banana, and honey. Cool lunch boxes I use to also on Sunday make the lunches for three days at a time. Times by 4 of course. But we used brown paper bags that of course were never big enough. But in AZ they go back July 23 after going out for summer at the end of May the school system here is basically year round technically! Feels like the summer break is a blink and than over.

WOOOO - great start to a busy Monday morning in the office! I've been having difficulty packing my fiance's lunch because his cooler doesn't hold the makeshift bento boxes! I'll have to check out those snack pack compartments! Did you say Ziploc? I'll have to rewatch. THANKS MAMMAS!

Hi. Thank you for a great video. It has been very interesting to watch this, as I'm Danish and our lunches are very different. My son is 12 and on an ordinary school day I pack a homemade sausage horn (a bun with a sausage inside), two slices of ray bread ( very dark Danish bread with a lot of grains) with different kinds of cold cuts, I'll also add some fresh vegetables and a piece of fruit. As a snack I would add a little pack of raisins or nuts. I have to say, that if I added Goldfish, cookies or M&M's to my sons lunch, I would be seen as a bad mother ... all kinds of sweets are forbidden in a Danish lunch box!

I’ve been loving your videos Jen (new subscriber in the last month+)! This one is a great one! I’d love to see a video or photo of how the lunchboxes look when they come home. Specifically, what did the kids eat/drink and what didn’t they touch? My 9 year old never seems to drink anything at lunch and often leaves the fruit but manages to eat the treat. Go figure! My 16 year old is a little better. Anyway, just want to make sure I’m not alone. 😃 Also, how involved are your kids in the lunch packing, emptying, cleaning process? Again, this is a struggle I have with my girls. Thanks!

Hi Jennifer! Yes I would be willing to film what they ate, I can definitely try to do that! My kids give input on what they want, and one of their chores each day is to empty out their lunchbox, wipe it out, and put the ice pack back in the freezer :)

The justice lunch container definitely doesnt do good in dishwasher. I washed my daughters same exact one and it warped it a little bit.
