I live in UK but I use to buy mine from the USA in the 1980s as crafting was already an established industry over there. I brought my first one which was a metal stamp in 1990s and then UK crafting industry began with cross stitch and then rubber stamps for quilting, then late 1998/2000 I began to see them at Knit and Stitch at Ally Pally, Up to a few years ago i still had a few of the original catalogues which companys would send out i.e pre internet. I still have my original rubber stamps some still on their wooden block and some I use to use with acrylic blocks and double sided tape LOL
