There is also a full fan game being made! It’ll be called Dragons of Berk, and it will be fully free to play. The developers will take everything from the original game and remake it so that it’ll look and work better, and they will add even more content in, as well as bringing some old mechanics back ( for example playing with your dragon! ). The development just recently started, and the game will be released in 2024-2026, for what info we have right now. Can’t link the Discord server right now due to a hacker problem that is going on, but there are a few videos I think have the link to the server when it opens again.

that’s so interesting!! idk if you know the game Feral but it was a short lived but REALLY lovely little MMO that unfortunately got shut down to fund some shitty NFT game (which also got shut down…), anyways the same creators who revived SoD into Project Edge actually revived Feral first, and were also working on a different project that was going to be basically Feral but better and in their own way. so it’s so cool that they want to do the same thing with SoD as well!!! very eager to see the progress on both these projects. (unless I misread and the creators of this fangame and the people who revived SoD are different people, still excited for it all though :P)

@@pumkinpatchwork if the devs are the folk from slider's studio, then it's most likely the same people! personally i don't know Feral, I've probably never heard of it. though then there is also project: edge which just revived SoD as in: you run your own server as of now and can somewhat play it.

it is! so far it’s not certain of it’ll be available on mobile, but it will release on PC. it won’t release on any of the PlayStations either. it will probably be available on Mac and Linux as well I think?

These would be known as "Private Servers" in the mmo community. Many other games that have sunset and shutdown were saved by its fanbase and the community creating private servers for them.

I actually heard about the SoD shutdown from the creators of Project Edge!! these are the same people who revived Feral, if anyone knows of that brilliant but unfortunately short-lived game (brought back to life thanks to these guys). they’re amazing

You have to understand that it's a Pre-Alpha version, you can't expect it to work like a real SoD version. The game will show a lot of errors and bugs,And believe that soon everything will be deleted from your account, just like me and everyone else, and you will start over. You can't even fix the game yourself without a devs console. But I have to admit that I'm rooting for those who brought SoD back.

@@KorinaKory All right 🥰, I'm glad the game is back too, I'm just wondering if letting it be known that the game is alive isn't dangerous... I was looking into the history of discontinued games, there were also those who revived other such games and then they were forced to end the game (in the Emulator version like SoD now). So that we don't draw attention to it and lose the game again. That's the reason why I haven't released any video from SoD on my channel even though I've been in the Project since July 10, 2023. I already wrote about the project in your video, but the comment disappeared (probably the mistake of hidden comments that happens to me often now) I don't want to hide SoD from the players, but in no case do not draw attention to it to such an extent that someone else does not notice it and does not force end the game. I'm very happy to be back with my Deathsong and dragons. And what about you? Any save or crash issues? because my progress in the game has already been deleted 2 times and I have blocked some dragons for membership which I am now going to fix and I hope they will be released otherwise I will have 2x Toothless, 2x Light fury, 3x Dart, 2x Ruffrunner and 2x Pouncer 😅. Otherwise, if anything were to happen that something would be deleted from your account or you couldn't get into the game, don't hesitate to contact me, I'll help you with console (if you haven't already learned it) 😊

You do have a good point. I would hate to see project be shut down but I also think there is no point to it if SoD players dont know about it. After I make the installation guide I probably wont do any other videos about it. And about the game, Im so happy with it! Yes, it has kicked me out many times but thats fine. As long as I get to play with my seastormer Water, thats enough for me. :)

I hope that when they get good funding they could upgrade the game to be like half as good as hoyoverse games like honkai impact 3rd, honkai star rail or the forbidden one (genshin impact) I mean if you just look at how smooth they run how good the graphics are the combat system and game mechanics, but if that happens there will probably be some problems with copyright and trademarks.
