Tip for people going into high school! Make sure your involved with the community. For example, do band, chorus, join clubs, etc. because collages look for thing you do in your community to accept you. My mom said her student was a straight A student but when she applied for collage they didn’t accept her because she wasn’t really involved. I know grades are already hard to keep up with because of homework but you have to try! Join clubs that don’t require you to do extra homework. And make sure the club is for you! Also don’t skip work you have credits in high school and credits help you pass. Happy summer everyone❤️

I'm going into high school this year so some recommended school supplies and ones I don't recommend as well as some tips for middle school School supplies -this isn't really a nessacary supply but a water bottle because I have gone days with the long hours where I'm dying of thirst so definitely -pencils, and a lot of them! You will use your pencils a lot and might even leave them in class on accident so you want backups - a big eraser! The small caps have always broke on me especially with having a mechanical and using the eraser up on that is hard to replace and it's a good thing to stab when you are board - paper, like a small binder full that's not just for one class but to take notes, pass notes to friends, draw when you are bored or anxious. If you forgot one of your journals at home you have it and to remember random things your friends or teacher need you to remember -you don't really need hilighters! Teachers will either give them to you or you can just underline it. Hilights are mostly for the aesthetic and to remember when you can also used different colored pens or a normal pen or pencil - a pencil sharpener! It gets awkward sharpening pencils on the machine and sometimes they don't have it so always bring one in case - calculator! I'm not sure if it's allowed in 6tb grade since mine wasn't but 7th and 8th grade you will need them especially if you take pre algebra or algebra 1 - pencil pouch! You can lose those lencils at the bottom of your bag and they poke holes so I recommend something to keep them together - a multi folder or a binder! You get a lot of hand outs and sometimes I don't feel like putting them on my bag to get crushed so have an organizer for that! Tips! - you don't have e to wake up at 5 am like other girls because if you plan it out you will have a lot of spare time. If you have a bus time it's completely normal to get up way too early your first day but don't stress it because if you hate waking up at the butt crack of dawn then don't. I woke up around 6 or 7 in my first two years but now I wake up at 6:15 since my bus arrives at 7:13 - make sure your bag is packed the night before and first day I think planning your outfit is pretty useful so you aren'tfreaking out - first day don't be quiet! Interact because you will regret it if you don't. You will want to talk to people later on but will have a reputation as the quiet kid. I was that kid for the longest! - don't get caught in drama! Bad people may not be obvious and a trap but stand up for yourself and find good people to be around because the people you are around reflect who you are - you don't have as much work so don't pile it on by putting it off. They are easy about due dates and domt really care as long as you turn it in every semester. - for my girls! Don't be scared to rip out a tampon or pad. Ask girls for them if you have to and the teacher will most likely let you go or have you go to the office. My art teacher let one of my friends lay on the back table because of her cramps lol . It's not a big deal - 6th grade goes by fast, it's a fun year that you will kiss. 7th year was terrible. Not a vibe. It wasn't hard it was just like a Wednesday of school years. 8th grade idk it's just your last year I can't say it's good or bad but it's quick until it slows down right before the end of the school year -algebra kids! Online videos on your subject are much easier. Also if you fail that class or the test you don't fail the school year. Just take algerbra on high school! And the test, you have as much time as you need! Trust me if they say test over and you aren't done they will take you to finish your test If you have any questions about middle school please ask!
