and it doesnt fall into the "oooh look he's creepy for the sake of being creepy" trope that quite a few exe songs (and the og sonic.exe) have (most of them don't, but there's a few smaller ones that do) and there's nothing inherently scary about it, maybe unsettling, but not over-the-top and it also pays homage to the game its from well as well, it's only creepy cause of the nature of the game (and also probably cause of baldi lol)

i love how the song is upbeat then slowly gets serious it really gives the feel that sonic is getting frustrated and impatient as the song goes on and then it gets to the point where it feels like sonic is really angry at the player and he just wants you to stop trying it really makes you feel like its like baldi's basics and that's good because sonic's schoolhouse is really just baldis basics but with sonic and its not a horror game.

Haven't played the mod this comes from (didn't even know it existed until around yesterday, lol) and don't really plan to, but MAN that is some deliciously unsettling swing! I think the whole song being pitched down the way it is really enhances it as well, gives it more of that uncanny vibe tinged with some odd nostalgic feelings. I fucking adore this song. It's perfect by every standard. The only complaint I have is that it does feel a little disconnected from the overall feel of the Speed.gif mod considering how it holds no true spooky moments. I know there's some flashes during the song that shows Cyclops' face(I think) but personally I would've loved if at 1:01 during the drop, Sonic's appearance changed to be a little more off setting. Nothing too drastic, maybe just him staring at the player instead or being notably, if not uncomfortably closer. Regardless, a complete banger. I love this song with every ounce of my being

Like I love the kind of aesthetic this song gives.
