Chilling Wort - Immersion Wort Chiller Chapter 5 - Home Brew by U

When measuring temperature of the wort during chilling, where do you place the thermometer? Does it read inaccurately if it's resting on the bottom of the pot? Additionally, do you find it necessary to move the worth chiller by a few inches every couple minutes? I've noticed that if I move the chiller from one edge of the pot to another, there's a rush of warmer water, as if the wort was warmer on the other side of the pot.
