Awesome video, there is nothing more exciting then catching schooling stripers! I always thought that the rule during the summer was that you’re allowed to release fish but they still count towards you’re limit whether you keep them or not. I agree with you though that it is a dumb rule. If you’re catching fish on top water they are not going to die if you throw them back.
