Agreed, completely different scents and not even remotely in the same genre. Same occasions maybe, but since they're both versatile it makes no sense comparing them just for that factor

They do smell alike at the base, both are iso E super heavy, which you can definitely detect. The woodyness also shows similarities (cedar/sandal accords), at least for the EDP and Parfum. Use case is also similar.

I disagree with BDC and Dior Homme. I own both BDC parfum and Dior Homme 2020 and they are not similar at all in my opinion and not redundant to won both. Homme is more similar to Terre D'Hermes edt (which i also own). Homme is more woody ISO E Super based and TDH is also woody but way heavier on the citrusy orange freshness. Similar profile and vibe is what i get from both while BDC has a complitely different approach with the aromatic opening and the sandalwood drydown. Now, i can't speak on BDC edp or edt but my point still stands

Prada L'Homme Intense and Dior Homme Intense are for Iris lovers, and I think in that context they are absolutely different enough from one another to own both. L'homme intense, as you mentioned, is louder and a bit screechy, but I like enjoy that kind of character in a fragrance for a night on the town. Dior Homme Intense, on the other hand, is softer and a bit more elegant, meaning you could reasonably wear it to the office on a cool day. Fair enough, they both are prevalent designer iris frags, but I think the use case for each is different enough to own both, especially for an iris enjoyer.

@ayaan-m6f edt can project further as it has more alcohol( but less time on skin). EdP has less alcohol and will last on skin longer. Try using both together ❤️

Keep in mind his collecting style and the type of collecting he's appealing to. Smaller collection, singular scent for occasion, scent as a genre, not specific smells. I think that's the sort of perspective to look at it. Or something along those lines.

For me Bentley and fahrenheit le parfum are not that simillar, enjoy the dior a lot more it’s complex but difficult to wear, on the other hand Bentley is pretty easy to reach for me such a cozy vanilla

Ngl I was a bit lost at the Sauvage Elixir VS Boss Bottled Elixir comparison. But I own Bottled Elixir and only sampled Sauvage Elixir long ago so maybe I remember it wrong. I think they are samey, but I don't really pick much sweetness from Boss Bottled Elixir (except in the far dry down) and like most of the description you made was off for me >< Anyway interesting video with some challenging takes. I don't agree with everything but cool nonetheless.

These are NOT redundant fragrances. Something like Erba Pura and Kirke is acceptable but these suggestions are really lame. They just have similar ideas and functionalities but brutally different scents.

That's what redundancy is tho... If you serve the same purpose in a similar fashion, you're redundant... This doesn't mean they're clones or exactly similar. They have the same vibes and may be used in similar occasions. Chances are a single fragrance is enough to cover your needs for that situation. It's also easier to manage a smaller number of fragrance (often less money spent and more brain space for other things) I think the video is useful because it considers things with another angle. Can't say I agree with everything, or that I wouldn't link other fragrances with each other in priority (maybe it was covered in previous videos) but I get the intention. Even if you think differently it's interesting to know that some people feel and think differently and won't perceive much difference between 2 perfumes. Ofc at the end of the day you do things for yourself and are the only judge of what is or isn't worth your time, energy and money.

Ive gotten cd homme intense and Prada L’Homme intense and my wife said that cd was good for summer and pli could be worn in any temp… because of the shampoo scent it gives off, now cd homme parfum is much richer and dark and can be worn in winter ❄️. I’m going. By my Omar list. I’m going to BB japour next.😊
