Really good video Omar, the y edp instead of sauvage was spot on, y edp is a blue king right now, so much better, huge longevity , great compliment factor. I do not agree however about 1 million being outdated, still is a king but yeah super common, i use prive and i am hyped about 1m elixir that will be released soon. The Eros EDP is much better than eros edt for me and swy intensely >the most wanted but both are pretty close. Totally agree with Instant Crush, it's unbelievable for the price. Mancera looks "expensive" compared to some designers, but the 120ml bottles and awesome performance means it's like you're getting a 200ml bottle for the price of entry.

Completely concur it's one of those which I think is underrated as a house.Its called an entry level niche house like it's a pejorative but it has scents which punch with the likes of Creed Xerjoff. Those houses may be more natural but more natural often sacrifices performance you need a good balance which Mancera and Montale have imo.Not all there scents are appealing but you can bet your bottom dollar with their expensive profile but they have something for you.

I agree that the original Chanel Allure Homme Sport is a smoother alternative to Acqua Di Gio. I never put 2 and 2 together until you mentioned it. And Allure Homme Sport, not the Extreme one, has gotten me so many random compliments. I used to wear it a lot when I lived in Hawaii. If there's one area I disagree with it's D&G The One. I don't think I've seen anything that can match its smell. And it's smell actually isn't played out at all because so many people choose not to buy it - being turned off by its performance. But it's such a great smelling fragrance and it's better suited when someone is very close to you, really an amazing scent. Just had to get around the issue by bringing a Travelo atomizer and re-apply.

Decided to change up my scent game for, first time in 56 years. Been binge-watching men's fragrance reviews. You appear to be one reviewer/ content creator who responds to comments. I have a number of questions I would like to ask but don't know where to find answers. Any suggestions for information will be appreciated. My first question (2nd I guess). As reviewers point out the scents that make up a particular fragrance. I have no idea what many actually are. Bergamot, Amber (super shortlist to keep this post short-ish). Of course, many smells everyone understands, like citrus, leather, smoke (again shortlist for brevity). Is there a way to get an idea of what the (for lack of a better word) "component" scents that makeup fragrances smell like?? Great reviews, thanks in advance

issey miyake noir ambre sounds really interesting. it seems available on escentual in the UK but for some reason the website says it can't ship flammable products to japan. that's strange, given that i regularly buy fragrances from fragrance x and there's never a problem.

Is there a good Ysl L’homme alternative available or should I go with the original?
@SchoolOfScent3 жыл бұрын
Imo no, the original is still king imo although Ultime was also good

Lhomme is one of the greatest of all time! Such a classy fragrance in my opinion. I agree with Omar that Ultime is also pretty nice.

L'eau d'issey noi ambre is discontinued for some time and it is almost imposible to find. I found it recently somewhere on a UK site for £99 plus shipping cost cause I'm not from UK, I think it comes at too high a price for a designer perfume and I could find a niche perfume similar in smell to the same price. Maybe you could help me with some ideas here. :)) Nice video btw!

It’s currently £42 on Escentual, as far as I’m aware it’s not discontinued

Interesting! Can def see y edp being better than sauvage. Have you ever looked into Molton Brown's fragrances? I have samples and I love their Russian leather, oud accord, and cypress

Thanks Kenji, no need to explore more of their stuff!

That rotten egg 🥚 feel is the amped up aquatic intensity from the original D n G light blue ...it annoys me too kind of acquarium water not been replaced for years ..u take Ure hands inside feel the sluggish slimy water ..and the amped up acquatic note is quite similar to it ..
