Baritone Konstantin Krimmel and pianist Ammiel Bushakevitz dedicate themselves to the timeless character of Heinrich Heine in the project “Heinrich Heine as a European”, telling his story as a European between tradition and progress. In search of a transnational identity, Heine’s texts are contemporary witnesses of an ambivalent character with contradictory identities and homelands, driven by the desire for human freedom and the destruction of national prejudices.
