私も同じです。今思うと当時のワルター&コロンビア響（時にニューヨークフィル）のディスクは今日でも輝きを失っていない名盤揃いですね。この未完成をはじめ、モーツァルトの後期6大交響曲、ベートーヴェン、ブラームスの交響曲全集、ブルックナーの4番、7番、9番、マーラーの「巨人」、「復活」、シューベルト「ザ・グレート」、シューマン等々、、、 私が夢中になった頃はちょうど原盤権が日本コロンビアからCBSソニーに移り、発売されてからあまり日が経っていませんでしたので、少ない小遣いをはたいて夢中で集めたのを昨日のことのように思い出します。中でもコロンビア響とのマーラー第9番はなかなか発売にならず、たまたま米国のoddeyssey（スペル違いかもですが）という廉価版レーベルで見つけた時の喜びは忘れられません。

ふくよかで減り張りの有る表現豊かな演奏でした。オーケストラの各パートの音色もとても綺麗で素晴らしかったです。

The tempo marking of the 2nd movement is andante con moto but it should have been adagio cantabile and that's exactly how Bruno Walter took it. Kudos to Walter.

I agree that this is the appropriate tempo for the second movement (whatever Schubert's marking), but there are other instances of conductors adopting a similar tempo - for instance, there is another excellent performance of this Symphony conducted by Bernard Haitnik which follows a similar speed in both movements.
