I love this helmet - it's fantastically safe, very functional (especially if you wear glasses), very quiet, and fits very well. I ripped the guts out of it and fitted the Sena 20S because I like the jockey wheel better than the Schuberth rubberised buttons which I find to small for glove use. It went back together perfectly, and is incredibly comfortable. The new EPS casting gives adequate room to position the speakers, and paired to my Garmin Zumo 590 it's a great setup to explore unknown areas.

Because of the position of the sun visor mechanism, it's going to be difficult to mount most BT kits on this helmet. The best option is to go with something like the new Sena SMH10R that uses a low profile velcro mount that can be placed just over the sun visor lever. ~Ali

I see a lot of people here complaining about the helmet. Maybe you got unlucky, and it has a defect, or they 're not made in the same way. hell, or maybe i'm the lucky one. I have one, foi a year and a half now, about 25,000 Km, on the hot Summer, the rain! wind! fog! its awsome! its quiet. As long as the visor is clean, the pinlock doesn't let it fog in the center. I used it in a up right position in the CBF 600Sa, and now on a sportTuring with a more lay down position. The vent button in the top never Popped out, Lol. its quite an investment , mas but one of the best i´ve made.

Warning on this one; If , like me, you are a very snug fit with the C3, you may want to get one size up with the C3 Pro. I bought the same size when I upgraded from my C3 to C3 Pro, but the change in the padding and subtle modifications to the internal shape caused a very noticable change and simply was too small for me. One size up instantly solved it and was very comfortable.

Hey Nick. My apologies. I was thinking of the SMH-10, not the SMH-10R. The SMH-10R and the SMH10-11 both have wired microphone options that allow for installation on the C3 and C3 Pro. You still have to mount the unit pretty far back on the shell, but it will work. -CK

The Pinlock is the only means of anti-fog on the helmet. Pinlock, in my experience, works 100% of the time, no exceptions and is the best anti-fog system available. Without it installed, you will definitely see fog on the shield. This would be true of either the Schuberth or the Neotec. -CK

If the Neotec fits you better, I'd stick with that as you will be happier in the long run. The C3 Pro shape is very similar to the SR-1. The Schuberth Helmets will likely have a slightly smaller shell size due to the S.T.R.O.N.G. construction, but the Neotec has gotten great reviews on comfort and it seems you are leaning that way as well. -CK

I own the Hi Viz of the C3 Pro. Lots of features to love about it (it's really well vented, the internal sun visor is great) but I'm counting the days to replace it with an Arai- after such a huge spend, I need to keep it at least another year. Ant does mention the hi viz color is designed to annoy the brain. It cannot be ignored. That's great & the reason I picked the color.... but then when I started riding with the girlfriend, she politely mentioned that it fking sucks to sit behind a huge neon bubble 2" infont of her face. I'm in front looking at spectacular scenery, she's got a face full of hi viz.

I really love that they moved the chin straps more forward, I could not bend my head without choking. And every time you swallow its just really uncomfortable. So you had to ride with the straps more loose, and that isn't that safe. Plus if you try to open the helmet ( not the visor ) the helmet would move around because it was not that secure with the loose strap.
@bjdee14377 жыл бұрын
I totally agree. I bought the C3 when it came out, and I loved the quality..it seemed even a step up from the Arai's I usually use. You can feel greater precision even with small things like raising or lowering the visor. My initial great impression quickly dissipated when I realized the chin strap that initially dug into my jaw and neck was never going to get comfortable, as it was so far back the chinstrap dug into my jaw and neck no matter how I adjusted it. It would seriously hurt. I tried to give it a chance, but after a few months I couldn't bear it and sold it. Keep in mind I've been riding for 35 years, so it's not like I am unfamiliar with how to fasten a helmet. It was huge waste of money.

I think the schuberth is better built but the shoei is not far behind at all. The shoei opens and closes better,, while the schuberth's shield opens and closes easier. The inner lining seems to be a better quality on the c3. But like I said the Neotec is no slouch. At a little over a hundred bucks cheaper and a much more comfortable fit I have to give a thumbs up for Shoei. I know a new helmet has to break in but that was just way to tight. Will post how it handles on the road ASAP.

I run the chin guard all the time, its modular, it flips up with the chin? I like the C4 and C4 Pro... all helmets should have removable innards to adjust for size, that's how they should all be, two shell sizes, BOOM! problems solved, let riders build their custom interiors to fit them perfectly, that's the way to go.. impossible to fit all shape and sizes of heads, you might hit 5% if you're lucky, or just make a gel style innerd that fits to any shape head

What is the lightest modular on the market? What modular has the best airflow? Those features are important to me.
@RevZilla7 жыл бұрын
Modular helmets are inherently heavier than their full-face equivalents. Weight isn't typically a feature that they are designed around. That said, the HJC RPHA Max is one of the lightest on the market. It has great airflow, but arguably the "best" airflow on the market would come from the Schuberth C3 Pro which is a few ounces heavier by size than the HJC. Still, those few ounces are mostly undetectable as long as the helmet is aerodynamic and stable at speed. -TeamZilla Chris

I have read many stories about the Neotec fogging badly; unfortunately, it also fits me perfectly I tried the C3 (not Pro) and it was very tight at the forehead - a dealbreaker. So, I guess I have 2 questions: - How much does the Schuberth fog without the pinlock (which I'm not too excited about)? - If the shield venting is significantly better than the Neotec, am I likely to be able to wear the Pro considering my head shape?

Dear RevZilla. I am thinking about this helmet but as always sizing is the problem. I have tried size S for about 10 minutes in the shop and it feels tight but acceptable. But I am not sure about long rides. If helmet will be to tight can I buy looser liner from helmet size M to make S size helmet looser? We are talking about head crown. I have read that similar procedure is for cheek pads. Am I right?
@RevZilla9 жыл бұрын
jakub roemer For some sizes, you can swap cheek pads and head liners, but for size small, it already has the thinnest cheek pads and the EPS is specific to size small only, so the head liner isn't compatible with other sizes. +Dulf Nordensvärd For those who want a really quiet helmet with German quality, the Schuberth is worth the price. -DrewZilla

@RevZilla7 жыл бұрын
This helmet performs very well in the rain, and the material around the neck is good for repelling water. -DrewZilla

HI guys, i am going to buy this helmet but have a SENA 20 bluetooth system on my existing helmet. Obviously i will have to stick the unit to the side of the helmet but will I be able to thread the wire in and behind the padding ok for the ear speakers etc?
@RevZilla9 жыл бұрын
David Barton Yes, you can route the speaker and microphone wires inside the Schuberth. When installing in the Schuberth, I recommend changing from the fixed boom microphone to the detached, hybrid boom microphone. You'll want to mount the hybrid boom inside the helmet behind the left cheekpad and route the microphone wire out to the helmet clamp. Using the hybrid boom eliminates any interference with the Schuberth's sun visor mechanism located on the bottom left edge of the chin bar. -DrewZilla

Would the U Clrar hbc 200 work well on this helmet?

I'm 58 centimeters, I wear a hjc rpha max. Is this fit similar to the c3 pro and should I order a medium.
@RevZilla7 жыл бұрын
Schuberth's size intervals are a half size smaller, so at 58cm, I recommend the C3 Pro in size LARGE. The fit isn't exactly the same, but there's a good chance the C3 Pro will fit. Hope this helps! -DrewZilla

RevZilla how is the fit different may I ask, what would you say the shape is compared to my rpha max, more round or more oval than the rpha
@RevZilla7 жыл бұрын
I find both helmets have a "neutral fit", which for me means in between intermediate oval and round oval. -DrewZilla

how is the mounting of the cardo pack talk bold with the Schuberth c3
@RevZilla4 жыл бұрын
The BOLD fits just fine. The controller mount sits aft of the sun visor mechanism, and the boom microphone mounts inside with the base of the boom behind the left cheek pad. -DrewZilla *bit.ly/PackTalkBOLD_C3Pro
