So this is not a jump starter right 🤔 this is more for like at home car wont start. This wouldnt help if your camping and no alternate source of power.

@@albetherechillin correct, this needs to plug into an AC power supply and it's not a jump starter for your car even when it's plugged into the AC. This is more of a battery maintainer and charger in other words you use this when you're not going to be using your car for a while. It will keep your battery at Peak performance.

I got a whole slew (8) of different amperages of battery Schumacher chargers at a auction. Mine says tppes are Standard, AGM, and Deep Cycle. No provision for Lithium. No instruction book with this one. ( I know good English, just not using it today. LOL

I would suggest looking at the side of the battery to determine whether your battery is a lithium or lead acid battery

Anytime you're not using your car for a while you can plug it in! I leave it plugged in all winter time. It will only charge your battery to the point where it needs the charge and then it will maintain that charge and will not harm your battery so you can leave this plugged in indefinitely if you want. Just make sure when you are ready to use your car that you unplug it and take it out

i had mine setup only to come check on it later and it was back to the main screen to select battery type so i reset it and it did the same thing after a few mins. Did you ever have this happen to you or know maybe what i am doing wrong?

Funny you said that someone else told me that when they lost electricity to it they had to reset it and select the battery before it would charge again. Well after a big snow here 2 weeks ago I was shoveling and pulled the cord out of ithe extension cord. It was unplugged for about 2 minutes. I plugged it back in and the next day opened the hood and it was charging and maintaining just fine. So not sure, are you sure you have the same model? Did you go to my video 13 min mark and watch what to do?

@@Soulcommander i just watched it again and it will start to charge for awhile then it trips back to the select a battery type. i am wondering if it;s how i have the quick connect hooked up maybe the connections need to be first on the battery? instead of at the end up against the bolt? we have the same model i have even checked their website and i did not see any faq's about this issue. Thank you for responding i just might have to mess around with it some more or maybe i have a bad unit.

Thank you very much for your comment. I would like to emphasize that this is a battery maintainer and charger which means you can leave the battery in your car. It is not necessary to remove the battery! The first 12 minutes of the video includes an unboxing and description of the charger that a lot of people find very necessary when purchasing a new product

9:31 You in fact can charge a dead battery with this bad boy. I just charged two of them from being completely dead. One was my Honda Goldwing and the other is a car battery in a Chevy Impala. I had this older model charger without the battery type options and that also brought dead batteries back to life and maintained them. The only reason I have this one now is because my other one grew legs and ran away somewhere. Great video!
