OMG, ever since I saw this house in Gil's book years ago I have dreamed of seeing a video of it, what a lovely surprise...and also to meet his wife. This house is absolutely gorgeous. The floorplan of the great room is amazing with those two seating areas and the kitchen/dining areas. And to know he and his wife were close with the wonderfully talented Suzanne Rheinstein is special - the chair of hers that reminds them of her is so sweet.

I love everything about this home and how they incorporated the outside environment into the house. The small touches add a wonderful ambience and character to all the spaces. I noticed the little book about how to hug a porcupine and laughed. We all have a few of those in our lives.

A such a beautiful house. I think the aesthetic genius of Gild to make the inside a warm white and the outside that dark green/ brown. That is so clever for that setting where darker colors indoors would make it so hard on dark days. And lighter colors outdoors would make it stand out too much in that space. A true joy to look at. Ooooh so beautiful. I almost am tempted to watch this a second maybe even a third time. The detail and everything is right down my alley. The wood brown is inspiring and might be just what I’m looking for for my media wall in a little house that I’m building right now. I also love the white shiplap block instead of sheet rock. There’s nothing worse than trying to mud and tape when you don’t know what the heck you’re doing lol
