@mrNks97 darüber lässt sich streiten, rubble hat mehrere bedeutungen (unter anderem "Bauschutt", während ashes eben nur asche bedeutet. Prinzipiell wäre wohl beides oder eine Kombination aus beidem richtig gewesen, allerdings würde ich heute "lay waste to" sagen - weil das eben sinngemäß eher passt als eine wörtliche übersetzung. Wichtig ist doch, dass man versteht welche Message der Text rüberbringen soll, nicht dass man haargenau jedes einzelne Wort übersetzt.
