Basti was always one of my favourite non united players, I loved his game ever since he broke through at Bayern, so when he came to united, even if it was the downhill of his career, I was overjoyed, regardless how long he was here I got to watch live as basti played for united at old Trafford, I'll cherish that forever.

On one hand i Like Mourinho and then we hear Bastien's story and my feelings for mourinho drop massively. That was a spineless thing to do, to get Murtough to tell bastien, not even one of José 's coaches doing it at the very least.

@@Andy-bf8os Wether it did or didn't, as a man mourinho should have had no problem face to facing Bastien and telling him straight. Like I said, a bit spineless and snakey from Jose.

@@billbaggiotmua372Players always get the manager sacked. Bastian was likely on huge money and was injury prone. No wonder he was happy at the club. Was basically a holiday for him. He retired almost a year after leaving didn't he? He was finished
@hurrayforanonyms8 ай бұрын
@@JMatthew131 He was finished but that shouldn't matter. If you treat someone like that just because they stop being of use to you then you're a bit of a scumbag. Mou thought bastien was aligned with Van Gaal and would cause him trouble. Mourinho was incredibly wrong and schweinsteiger was a model professional. It was arrogant and stupid and he decided before even meeting him. Completely classless behaviour that embarrasses united.
@JMatthew1318 ай бұрын
@@hurrayforanonyms He probably was upset LVG left. He played 18 league games in 2 years that is not a model professional. He was finished and by the sounds of it wasn't interested in moving on until he was forced. Only hearing one side of the story here.

This interview was WAY too short! Absolute gentleman. Gutted to hear how he was treated at United.
@davidendsor2198 ай бұрын
How he was treated was a disgrace, not for one minute do i believe that mourinho was sorry. from the day he arrived to the day he left he caused chaos in the dressing room, in the club and even the fans. Divisive character and i was very pleased when he left. Breath of fresh air listening to Bastian, what a man...

These youngsters coming through, Sancho and these crybaby, attention seeking, Instagram players need to learn these values, attitude and levels of class from Schweinsteiger what a true professional footballer. A true winner indeed.
@haxkztasy7 ай бұрын
he didnt win anything, after that he went to the MLS and ended his career. So overall he didnt win anything for not going to the media and actually was able to be bullied out of a Club. as a Young player like Sancho, you dont wanna be silent and be bullied out of a club to then make a transfer to a small little club cause he vanished from the eyes of the public. Thats literally when you create way more problems, esp. Clubs thinking they are able to ruin someones career if they want to without being punished for it.
