I am impressed. I must say as an American Model railroader. BTW I lived in Villarzel, Switzerland for 8 years so very familiar with the Swiss countryside, the Alps and the railroad there. there.

This is, to me, one of a few model railway layouts that I could thoroughly enjoy looking at, without any trains running. There is so much to see. You have managed to bring a large number of typical sights seen over various mountain routes together, to create a harmonious co-habitation, that transcends different epochs. Thanks for uploading it, so we all can enjoy it.

Ein ganz toller Zufall, dass ich auf deine wunderschöne und interessante Anlage gestossen bin. Aber auch alles was du gebaut hast ist absolute Spitze. Vieles auf deiner Anlage erkennt man von der Realität her. Die meisten Häuser sind wohl im Eigenbau entstanden. Riesenkompliment. Ich ziehe vor deiner Arbeit den Hut. Das ist Modellbahn pur. We traveled a Lott with Swiss trains and I have to say this layout is stunning and brings back a Lott of memories. It all looks very realistic and if you told me this was made in Hamburg (Miniatur Wunderland) I would have believed it. The layout has been beautiful captured on video. I will look at it over and over again because the details are an example for model builders. Thumps up and a sub.

Beyond impressive! This is not a model train layout. It's a work of art, eye for detail and technical ability. I would like to see "behind the scenes", spirals and electrical, all the work that went into that.

Thank you for your compliments. On the occasion of "150 years of Suisse railways" in 1997, I visit the Gotthard Railway for the first time. I was immediately fascinated, I wanted te recreate this as well as possible in a modelrailway. After 23 years , I am not finished yet... Now, I think it's a shame that there are hardly any trains running through Göschenen after the new Gotthard Basetunnel has been put into operation... Danke für deine Komplimente. Anlässlich der "150 Jahre Suisse-Eisenbahn" 1997 besuche ich zum ersten Mal die Gotthardbahn. Ich war sofort fasziniert, ich wollte dies so gut wie möglich auf einer Modellbahn nachbauen. Nach 23 Jahren bin ich noch nicht fertig ... Nun, ich finde es schade, dass nach der Inbetriebnahme des neuen Gotthard Basetunnels kaum noch Züge durch Göschenen fahren ... Genießen Sie Ihr großes Hobby und die besten Grüße aus Belgien .

@@cpa1960Gott Der Nachbau ist Dir wundervoll gelungen, sehr authentisch. Ja, die Gotthardstrecke ist schon toll, wirklich Schade, dass da kaum noch Züge fahren. Truly wonderful never seen details of landscape and railway furniture so rich in details and superlative trains. One question, are the car transport wagons of Loetschberg / Sempione at the station those of HAG painted in gray? Thanks and congratulations, superb work!

​@@cpa1960Gott Thanks for the answer, I too would like to repaint that too yellow plastic of those wagons still beautiful despite their age (waiting for the splendid ones of NME that sooner or later will come out), those handrails so evident make them unrealistic, in fact they are all blackened by use and the yellow is hardly seen. Beautiful railway, absolutely fantastic. I noticed the locomotive pantographs were kept "low" so they do not touch the Sommerfeldt catenary wire. I assume this is done to prevent wear to the wire or possible damage to the trains. To reduce pressure on the catenary wire on a small personal layout recently started, I am attempting to adjust the spring tension on the pantographs to very lightly "touch" the 0.5mm catenary wire. Have you tried this before, but found issues with long-term reliability or excessive wear on the system? (Thank you in advance for any insight.)

Thanks for your comment. The main reason why the pantographs are so low is because my 2 spiral tunnels (to gain height difference) are made a bit too low. (You don't see that of course). The pantograph would sometimes hit the bottom of the top part. The trains run well and you don't see it. I would improve it if I did it again. Enjoy your hobby and greetings from Belgium.

Vielen Dank für Ihren Kommentar. Das Layout ist eine U-Form von ca. 9 x 6 m. Eine seite ist der Bahnhof Göschenen, die andere seite ist landschaft. Der zwischenteil ist die Bietschtalbrücke. Ja, ich verfolge auch regelmäßig Ihren You Tube Kanal mit großem Interesse. Es ist immer eine gute Inspirationsquelle. Mit viel Geduld und Leidenschaft kann man viel erreichen, viel Spaß beim Hobby und herzliche Grüße aus Belgien

I will Wish for a film where there is a panorama of your room. Thanks. The track is a U-shape of 9 m by 6 m. I have room for 28 different train configurations. Only 30% of the tracks are visible, the rest are tunnels and spirals to gain height.
