Ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis: das Schwimmen mit Walhaien auf der benachbarten Insel Sumbawa, östlich von Lombok.
1. Tag: Lombok - Labu Jamboe, Sumbawa.
Abfahrt vom Hotel in Senggigi oder Kuta gegen 8 Uhr nach dem Frühstück. Die Reise führt uns nach Osten zum Hafen Labuhan Lombok, von wo aus wir mit der Fähre etwa 2 Stunden nach West Sumbawa übersetzen. Ankunft im Hafen Pototano auf Sumbawa. Von dort fahren wir weitere ca. 4 bis 5 Stunden über Sumbawa Besar nach Labuhan Jambu auf Sumbawa. Die Übernachtung in einem einfachen Hotel ist inklusive.
2. Tag: Sumbawa Besar - Walhaibeobachtung - Lombok.
Frühaufstehen ist erforderlich. Die Abfahrt erfolgt um 3 Uhr morgens zum Hafen, von wo aus wir mit einem traditionellen Fischerboot zur Beobachtungsplattform auf dem Meer fahren, etwa 2 Stunden vom Festland entfernt. Von der Plattform aus können Sie die Walhaie beobachten, während unser lokaler Führer die Tiere mit vielen kleinen Fischen füttert. Wenn die Walhaie anwesend sind, dürfen Sie mit Ihrer Schnorchelausrüstung ins Wasser springen, da die Walhaie harmlos sind. Gegen 8 Uhr kehren wir zum Festland zurück und fahren dann weiter zum Hotel, um zu frühstücken. Die Rückkehr nach Lombok zu Ihrem im Voraus gebuchten Hotel erfolgt um 11 Uhr. Damit endet das Walbeobachtungsprogramm auf Sumbawa.

2 days 1 night
An extraordinary experience: swimming with whale sharks on the neighboring island of Sumbawa, east of Lombok.
Day 1: Lombok - Labu Jamboe, Sumbawa.
Departure from the hotel in Senggigi or Kuta around 8 a.m. after breakfast. The trip takes us east to the port of Labuhan Lombok, from where we take the ferry for about 2 hours to West Sumbawa. Arrival at the port of Pototano on Sumbawa. From there we drive another 4 to 5 hours via Sumbawa Besar to Labuhan Jambu on Sumbawa. Overnight stay in a simple hotel is included.
Day 2: Sumbawa Besar - whale shark watching - Lombok.
Getting up early is necessary. Departure is at 3 a.m. to the port, from where we take a traditional fishing boat to the observation platform on the sea, about 2 hours from the mainland. From the platform you can observe the whale sharks while our local guide feeds the animals with lots of small fish. When the whale sharks are present you are allowed to jump into the water with your snorkeling equipment as the whale sharks are harmless. At around 8am we return to the mainland and then continue to the hotel to have breakfast. The return to Lombok to your pre-booked hotel is at 11am. This concludes the whale watching program in Sumbawa.
