Thanks so much for recommending this trailer. I wanted the Burley D’lite since it was lighter and has a more convenient bike to stroller conversion setup but my husband and I decided to give the joyrider a try because of cost, interior space, and based on your videos and Amazon reviews. I have to say so far I am not disappointed! I’m just getting into biking and not in shape at all so it is heavy pulling it behind my bike, with my 20lb 17 month old in it (that’s 60lb total), up the hills in my neighborhood but with each ride it’s getting easier and easier (I suppose I’m getting stronger! Lol). So far as a stroller it glides across the pavement. We’re going to a Renaissance Festival soon and will have our friend’s 1 year old in it with our daughter and I’m excited to see how it does as a stroller at the festival which is in the woods! Thanks so much for suggesting this trailer because it’s not really mentioned in any other “top kids bike trailer/ stroller” lists on the Internet! I added extra info to help out anyone still trying to decide if they want to give this trailer a try or not. Now I’m looking into getting a hybrid bike or an electric assist bike do you have any advice in that area you could share with me!?! Lol

Funny how your negative of it being wide is a downside and here I am looking for a wide trailer lol I have a 4yo who’s pretty tall and a 1yo who will be in it. Do you think they will have enough space? They’re both in the 90th percentile for height (I’m 6’5”) so I want a trailer that they’re going to quickly grow out of.

Just bought this trailer because of your videos. But one thing I noticed is that the steel cage isn’t steel anymore it’s flexible and doesn’t seem safe for roll overs 😢

Hey! I would personally still get this double because you might find the extra space useful (I do). Also it's nice to take other kids around occasionally (did that today!). If you really want a single-seat trailer, then there aren't any that convert to a stroller that I would particularly recommend.

I know it defeats the purpose of your channel to use bikes vs car, however we live in a state, Florida, that isn't safe for bikes. We'd have to travel by car to a park or bike path. Our car is a sedan so car seat, bike and trailer would all have to fit...

Finally decided to purchase after this review Just assembled to stroller mode, the front wheel doesn’t seem to pivot smoothly so the push is not great. I’m wondering if something is wrong with our front wheel or if this is just the way it pushes? I was hoping it was somewhat comparable to the push of a bob stroller.

Hey Kelly, I've not personally noticed any specific issues with pushing the front wheel. When pushing over rougher terrain, then yes, there is a noticeable difference. However, that would be the case for all trailers that I use. That's where the large back wheels come in handy. You can push over LARGE rocks and curbs with just the back wheels.

Do you have any issue with the wheels sliding in or out as on mine the wheels do not lock in place. There only seems to be a lever that goes down to hold the wheel in place on each side but it does not hold the wheel tightly so the wheels slip out .

How is the air ventilation in this trailer? I see that the front has a mesh screen, but I don’t see any other air vents. Do the kids get sweaty and uncomfortable in hot weather?

Ventilation and overheating have never been a particular issue for us. The cage-like cover on the Joyrider is well ventilated all around. Also, since they are not moving and the air from the ride cools them down a bit, I wouldn't worry much about it :)

Hi Nichole, I have used the Joyrider just fine was a jogger (but not at high speeds or over rough terrain). Sidewalks and pedestrian paths are just fine. The Joyrider does not have a jogger conversion kit available. Good question!

Seems like a great buy. :D I already bought the Hamax outback a couple of days ago. Just as well since this Schwinn seems hard to get in Europe paying almost double to ship it here. 🤔 Really like how the cover easily fold up and down. Will try to remember this model when/if we need to upgrade from a 1-seater to 2. ;)

Hey Matthew, I might actually not recommend a bike trailer for high-speed running (skating) unless you have a jogger-convertable trailer. Some great joggers would be the Thule Chariot Cross and Hamax Outback. You could surely try it with the Joyrider and return if you don't like it :) No harm in that.

You mentioned that you’ve had this stroller for a while….have they changed the materials in more recent production? You describe a “cage” that comes down in front to secure the kids. I just looked at a Joyrider and the only metal in that front screen was the very bottom rung and the very top rung. The other three or four rungs in the “cage” are plastic. The overall construction wasn’t very robust. Great reviews. Very informative. Thanks for the help.

Yes, it is. Not on rough terrain though, but it's okay for sidewalks and greenways.

Hi Angela, the buckles are on the sides, so there's no way to put the harness in the middle. When I ride with one child, they just sit to the side and I have luggage in the other seat. It's a very solid bench-style seat, so it's not uncomfortable to sit on one side.

I already have a Chariot Cougar 2 But I don't like how folds down. Because we need to be very carefully with the net and rain cover. Also when storage the wheels. I will travel. This one does not recline, but my kids don't have an issue sleeping really. The best reclinable trailer I have used is the Thule Chariot Cross. But honestly, the recline is not that much to the point that they are lying down.

Hey Noob (nice name)~ Not on this trailer! If you're doing mountain riding, then either the Thule Chariot Cross or Hamax Outback. Both excellent trailers and strollers. I personally like the Outback a LOT, but the only downside is that it's about 10 pounds heavier than the Cross. But that doesn't bother me personally.

Bewarned, DO NOT get this trailer as a jogging stroller. Works great as a trailer, but falls apart as a stroller. Personal experience, summer 2022 brought new on amazon, used it for 1 trip. Small front swivel wheel got caught, and the stroller folded down on itself, ever since then. it happens every time. I called for a replacement, they replaced it. Summer 2023, same thing happened. I actually came here to see if anyone have any fix for this problem.
