Sci:Clone, Solid State, Rogue Unit, Flytronix and Peshay all released numerous phenomenal tracks that had the Jazzy style....the golden era of Drum & Bass. Tracks like Jazz Cartel's -Blue Haze or Wax Doctor's "Atmospheric Funk"....Im really happy Sci:Clone is doing this....

This is great. An extension of everything D&B was originally and not just the harder edged futureurban sounds that have dominated for so long. (Which i also can't get enough of thou) This strikes back to artists such as Flytronics, Bukem, Omni trio, 4Hero and following on or a tribute to the early D&B influences of artists like Lonnie liston smith, miles davis's fusion era and many more timeless artists much sampled by the original headz of D&B. Omni trio did a set for radio one's one in the Jungle back in August 1996, its still available online. One of the best summer vibe D&B sets and at the time the call ins to the show were huge. This tune takes me straight back to that vibe. There is always a place for this style to slot in or should be anyway and i can't wait for the album. Early summer would be perfect.

Knew this album would of nailed all the points that got me into DnB, the harder stuff has its place, but its this classy, thoughtful approach to musicality that extended from Funk, Soul and Disco elements. Those glorious B Sides to my Mums 7inches where the musicians took over and made some incredible instrumental funk. Inspirational. Honest Music Iyah!!!

Sadly, this doesn't have the creative 90's sound-which is inevitable as it wasn't recorded with the same software, environment, or time period. Hopefully the LP will have something similar to the fantastic tunes realesed by Sci-Clone in the late 90's and early 00's. Luckily it still sound better than 99% of the over-engineered bass-boosted garbage released nowadays.
