It is incredible that these stories have survived!!! Amazing Stories is the only magazine that I remember. Never purchased a single one ....there were only enough nickels for Superman and Batman in my youth!!! I probably should have saved them!!!; Fat chance!!! Same with my baseball cards!;; Those were the good ole days. Now are the good new days!!!!!
@VintageSciFiAudiobooks Жыл бұрын
I agree. When I stumbled on them almost two years ago I couldn't believe there were thousands of them and most of them had never been available as audiobooks. I love sci-fi so I started narrating them and I love it. As long as I'm healthy I'll be narrating these lost sci-fi short stories for the rest of my life. Oh and I shudder to think what my old baseball, basketball and football cards would be worth! Best not to think about it!! Thanks for listening!!

@@VintageSciFiAudiobooks thank you very much. Silly me!! I'm assuming you are a human being!! I have a prediction... eventually when AI Comes into it's own, there will be no way to know when we are communicating with a human .. that will leave only idiots (at one time a scientific term) commenting on KZbin fb etc. I believe it could put an end to "social media"... an oxymoron.. if only idiots are using social media there will be zero ad revenue....I do not believe idiots have much spending power!!!! Just sayin'
@VintageSciFiAudiobooks Жыл бұрын
I promise you there won't be any AI on this channel. NO AI responses and certainly no AI narrating. I find it hard to believe that AI will ever sound as good as a human narrator. Perhaps I'm wrong, but there will be no AI on this channel, EVER!!

Would not be authentic to the time they were written, now would it?
@VintageSciFiAudiobooks11 ай бұрын
@TedSeeber I agree! It is not our job to change any story in any way. As a narrator it is my job to bring the story to life exactly as it was written. Certainly there are cringe worthy moments in some stories but the words the author chose are a reflection of the time in which they were written. Thanks for your comment and thanks for listening!!
