So much fun! I particularly like the float with the puppeteer. I attended the Puppet Opera when I visited Sicily last year. I really appreciated the artistry in that even though I had no idea what they were singing about in Italian half the time! 😂

Yes - the amount of work that goes into these is amazing! I still want to go and see the puppet show!

Watching that makes me realize I live a boring life in the states 😬. The detail and work they put into those floats is pretty amazing. That’s now on my list of things to do. Great video, thank you ✌🏻

Very cool. Almost on the same level of Viareggio carnival.

Yes apparently this Carnival competes with Acireale which is considered to be the best carnival in all of Sicily (and third best at national level)

Wow! Non sapevo che in Sicilia c'erano dei carnevali belli e così ben organizzati. Complimenti per il video. 👍👏

Love it! Thanks for sharing. Curious as to whether or not, threre were explanations of the concepts and messages the floats were meant to portray. Were they politically allegoraco? Interesting to see the different floats Region to region, and Province to province!
@MsBritaly10 ай бұрын
There were explanations given with each float and also a dance that accompanied each one. We didn’t stay near the main stage so we didn’t get to listen to all of them - the first float with the man in the car is Peppe Nappa who is the face of the Sciacca Carnival.
