I would totally watch a KZbin series of a simple minecrafter playing on the scicraft server perfectly content with making a small rustic house and a crop farm while there would be world eating machines and game breaking farms happening all over the rest of the server. “Okay guys, welcome back to another video. Today we are going to be expanding the carrot farm.” *looks out the window to see a wall of slime blocks tearing up the birch forest* “Oop, I guess the guys are mining next door.”

Just imagine using this save file for normal single player survival with small wooden house near river, doing farming and fishing. You go out for a walk without elytra(for better understanding of scale) and see huge machinery and destroyed earth everywhere, but you are only one on this world. Most of it broken(due to new updates), in some of them something still moving and doing something, but you have no idea how it works and what the purpose of it, you just a casual player. It would look like remnants of highly advanced civilization post collapse. That would be awesome
@RyanTosh
@RyanTosh 4 жыл бұрын
Every few weeks, you explore the ruins of a massive structure. Shadows fall across the land for miles around. Some pistons occasionally fire, once linked up to some sort of massive machine. You scavenge some supplies from shulker boxes, left lying around. Shulkers went extinct millennia ago, and their hollow shells lie in the wastelands like the remnants of some great alien species. Sometimes, they are full of fascinating and rare objects. Other times, there are huge arrays of thousands, filled only with stone. You collect some supplies with your humble stone pickaxe. Occasionally, a mysterious machine will fly by your hut, finally freed from its greater purpose by the once ever-shifting rules of physics. On hunting trips, you find massive canyons, hundreds of meters across, sometimes with massive works of art formed out of the floor. But at the end of the day, you always return to your humble wooden house, climb into your boat, and fish. Every night you sleep, not for safety, but out of habit. The monsters spoken of in the ancient lore are but a myth to you, kept at bay by the mob switch. It's a lonely, desolate place, but your simple life feels cozy and secure beyond the crumbling remains of the machines.

Sometimes I think that there are things that Mojang doesnt know that SciCraft assumes they know lol. I assume that some Mojang staff look into some MC redstone youtubers to understand things they might have overlooked into the game or some bugs and errors that the most of the community didnt notice in every update.

Agreed. Could they really foresee piston bolts, chunk loaders, update suppressors, RNG manipulators? Even Gnembon's mining with beds seems like something they wouldn't think they need to balance for. Really cool what can happen in games when players are given tools and time.

I find it fascinating how the entire quarry works. You have all of these moving parts that help the other part of the machine work. It is like an assembly line, the flying machines bring the material up into a blast area, then it gets destroyed and is sent to a storage unit. It is amazing how you guys can get this complex machine to function properly.

The idea of trying to launch that, having something go wrong, and then having to look through it all to figure out what is wrong sounds like a nightmare.

probably a few days that would take to build a nether world eater :)

Think it’s around six stacks of the block so thats a double chest of netherite, which is 4 double chests of ancient debris, and there’s around 10 or so per chunk, so let’s assume it takes half an hour to take out y 13 to 20 of a chunk, so we have around 200 stacks which is 12800 debris, which divided by 10 is 1280 chunks. If each takes half an hour it will take around 640 hours to get a full nethertie beacon alone. (This is all very rough lol)
@miha493
@miha493 4 жыл бұрын
Average 4 block of Ancient Debris or 1 netherite ignot per chank(gold is easy to farm) on hight 8-22. 9 chunks for 1 block or 1476 chunks for 164 blocks for full 4 layer 9x9 netherite beacon. 1476(chunks )x 16x16(chunk size) x 14 (blocks of generation hight )= 5 289 984 blocks.

The lack of proper chunk loading is the main thing holding them back. All other problems are just peanuts in comparison.

@@Dot_JSON Just watched it. Virtually the whole server would need new infrastructure, though the scicraft crew are good at putting in hard work. It would definitely suck to have to wait minutes for a chest minecart to slowly reach the chunks you want to load but hey, at least the mid-way chunks will unload.

A way to deal with the spawn chunk issue is just to expand the box, it would take longer to switch between on and off but you won’t need to change as much, plus if the spawn chunks change again to a smaller area you already have a solution
