Science experiments with Liquid Butane Gas

Butane gas boiling point is -1℃.
Therefore, at a temperature lower than -1°C, it is in a liquid state.
The butane gas boiling point depends on the pressure.
I tried some interesting experiments using liquid butane gas.

Hello i was wondering if it is possible to open the cartridge of the butane like you did at 0:14 at room temperature instead of lower temperatures.

When the cartridge opened at room temperature, the liquid inside boils and the temperature drops to the boiling point at atmospheric pressure.

BTW, is there a possibility of the flame reversing and exploding the bottle in the Butane gas candle? What about in the Flame Thrower? Thanks.

The flame can not reverse because there is no oxigen inside the bottle therfore no fire.

No, you need oxygen for combustion too. even if there was butane oxygen mixture, the flame would still not go back, since there is a minimum diameter through which a flame can travel, its is called flame quenching diameter

The ambient temperature is lower than the boiling point of the gas, so the atmospheric pressure and the pressure inside the gas cylinder are similar.

How long does the Gas stay liquified in the bottle?

After gas extraction, it was stored for about 2 months before testing. Beverage PET bottles can withstand up to 10 bar pressure, so they can be safely stored at room temperature.

냉동실에 넣어서 차갑게 하거나, 영하의 날씨에 수 시간 방치해야 합니다. 노멀부탄의 끓는점은 -0.5도 이지만, 이소부탄의 끓는점은 -11도 정도인데, 이소부탄이 섞여있었는지 -6도 에서도 내부에서 끓고있는것을 볼 수 있습니다.

I enjoyed all the safety precautions you took while you were playing. I particularly liked holding the bottle of butane out your window just above a heavily wooded area... Smart.
