Not just knowledge of chemistry which was stolen by western scientist. They were culprit in all fields of sciences. No one can remove their names and bring forward Medieval scientist into lime light only Jim Alkhalili has done this work partially ....so thank you sir for your efforts. Your knowledge and work cannot be matched by anyone. You are a polymath, a true genius and a genuine person. Salute!!!

West also took credit for eastern european (slavic) inventions. You heard what happened to tesla? Also they took credit for ancient indian mathematical and scientific inventions and heck even modern day Indian inventions. They also stole from egypt, China and etc. Looks like we share the same enemy. Hail islamic civilization and indian civilization.

... And the Islamic scholars, in turn, were inspired in their work by the texts inherited from the scientists of Ancient Greece, Ptolemaic Egypt and the Roman Empire. The ancient Greeks were those who "introduced a rigorous experimental approach that laid the foundation of modern scientific method", versus what is mentioned at 0:04 . The Arab and Persian scholars also benefited from the knowledge and technologies available to them from China and India. Of course, there is a merit in saving and spreading inherited science and knowledge, instead of destroying it. This is one of the things that make us better humans.

There is no Civilization or culture own science, science and knowledge is already out there, it depends how each civilization is going to take advantage of it. Thats what most of the civilizations did, the idea of having a golden age is to take the benefits from the previous cultures that had science and knowledge and then add what you already have from knowledge, thats how the European renaissance began, Europeans took science and knowledge from the islamic countries that were prosperous in Science and literature at that time, and then they added what they invented, and now the western civilization is the leading civilization.

@@mamouta5376 I just love Persian propaganda, Jābir ibn Ḥayyān was an Arab by ethnicity, but born in the Persian borders, ergo hes Persian. But when a Persain by ethnicity is born in Arab borders, hes still Persian. You got educated by them, and once you do a thing or two by your own, you ditch them. Back stabbers since the ancient times, and even till now. Once from Assyrians and Babylonians, then by Arabs and Amazighs in the Islamic Golden Age and even today in the modern days.

Much of the historical context behind this video is false, many advances in our understanding of the scientific world, that is accredited to the Muslim world, actually comes from Indian polymaths. Our numeral system was once thought to be Arabic, we now know that it is Hindu. Same is the case with Algebra (only the name is Arabic), many of the Sciences and countless other fields. "Information learned, is far more valuable than information given." - This applies to the Muslim world, having learnt/stolen this knowledge from Indians.

youngbuck189 I know, the West was referred as backwards barbarians by the Persians, Tibetans and Indians, when the Greeks invaded the lands, for the sake of conquest (pathetic if you ask me). But let's be honest, let's not pretend Islam has been a force for good. The Muslim conquest of Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Europe (almost succeeded had it not been for the French), India (would have been complete had if not been for the Marathas), Asia (I love you Kublai Khan), and North Africa, what happened to that land is beyond comprehension, you destroyed them beyond repair.

Bruce Wayne Religion is evil, all of them. I know that when China held international summits, they never once invited the European leaders throughout history. Historical records show they had much awareness of the Roman Empire, and saw them little more than barbarians. That feeling did not improve over the centuries, as their cultural and scientific superiority was without question.
