Science Mom's Guide to Water, Part 4 - Expanding when Frozen

Water is one of few substances to EXPAND when frozen. This causes some incredible effects: ice floating, snowflakes being six sided, and it's also what allows us to do 5 fun investigations:
1. Oil cube versus ice cube
2. Frost wedging (with plaster)
3. Make a "magic slushy" with super cooled soda
4. Lift ice with salt
5. Make ice cream in a can
