Another way of assessing a round of golf: the pass/fail system (PFS). Prior to play, determine the standard skill mark that is to be met: birdie, par, bogie, or double bogie per hole. During play, score a 1 when the standard is met and a 0 when it is not met. At finish of round, sum the 1s and divide that total by the number of holes played. Convert this to a percentage. This will be your pass rate expressed as a percentage for a given standard skill mark.

Great Video! Excuse me for butting in, I would love your thoughts. Have you tried - Yanaylee Yanrooklyn Magic (do a google search)? It is a smashing one off guide for unlocking an effective golf swing technique without the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my buddy got great results with it.

When I saw the title: "Science of Golf: Math of Scoring", I got excited. When I saw it was from the USGA, the excitement was replaced by disappointment because there is no science or math performed by the USGA.

why do Americans use different terminology.? we have had our golf stations bought out by them but they do not care about their viewers. in the uk we have eagle birdie par bogie SO WHAT IS A DOUBLE EAGLE AND HOW MANY STABLEFORD POINTS DO YOU GET FOR THAT .
